  1. Couldn't agree more. Just did 14 days on Seashore and everyone was super friendly.
  2. Great review. What time did they open the terminal doors on embarkation day?
  3. Is there speed differences between the browse and stream packages? Or is browse only the same speed but they disable streaming sites. If different speeds any one how big a difference?
  4. Were do you get that schedule? Trying to figure out which pier it will dock at on April 5th.

    Port change?

Cruisemapper shows the Seashore at Ocho Rios on April 10th but our itinerary has changed to Falmouth so Cruisemapper may not have been updated.
  6. Thank you for this. Did it on Allure of Seas years ago and it was pretty good. Leaving on the Seashore next week so may do it again.
  7. We got lucky as well. Our March 29th 11 days changed to 14 days. We were supposed to do 2 back to back days at Ocean Cay, the second one on April 7th. Were still doing 1 back to back days the first week and now we have 3 extra days and new ports(Jamaica and Grand Cayman)
  8. I saw it on a 2 year old post on Reddit. Poster stated that there was no mention of it when booking so it was a nice surprise. Was a small comment on a big post and didn't go into much details.
  9. I read a comment the other day that with Aurea you have priority tender. Anyone know if this is true? If so how does it work? I also read for none Aurea if you want to get off early you either have to book an excursion with the ship or go get a tender number at the casino or somewhere and have to be early, like 6:30 AM. With Aurea can we just skip the lines anytime we want to disembark? If it matters this will be on Seashore and at George Town.
  10. How early were you able to get of the ship with self debarkation?
  11. So you have to reserve time slots to access the thermal area? Hate being on schedule and would prefer to be able to just go when I feel like it. Hard to plan ahead when I'm going to feel like going to spa.
  12. So if they call out tender numbers, how are these numbers assigned? Is it first come first serve or can you pre book a slot to disembark?
  13. Thanks for the information. sounds like the process is the same on day 7 whether were booked for back to back 7 or full 14 days. From post above it sounds like for the 14 day we have now we should keep the same room. Which would make sense since it's one booking. If I do make changes and somehow end up being booked as 7 days back to back I assume it would be 2 separate booking and could possibly not get the same cabin. So I guess the only risk in making changes is potential to have to change cabins halfway. I could leave it as is to see what cabin they will assign me and make changes after if I don't like the cabin they assigned. Although there might not be many choices left by then. Anyone know when they typically assign cabins? How long before the sailing?
  14. No we didn't use a TA. If I do end up with the same cabin what is the difference between 14 days and back to back 7? I know on turnaround day I have to get off the ship even if it's a full 14. If it's back to back do we have to re do the boarding process or just get off to clear the ship and get back on?
  15. This will be our first MSC cruise and after reading about how MSC tends to mess up booking on their IT side I’m looking for some advice. We’ll be on the Seashore and originally booked an 11 day with 2 overnights at Ocean Cay. We had Aurea balcony on starboard side since they typically dock with starboard facing Ocean Cay. Our sailing is one affected by the temporary closure of Ocean Cay and our cruise got changed from an 11 day to a 14 day and only going to Ocean once. The cabin we had is no longer assigned and now it only shows as guaranteed cabin. I have a few concerns. Our cruise is now listed as a 14 day under our booking. However, that 14-day cruise doesn’t show up on their website for new bookings, would have to book a back-to-back now to have the same itinerary. Since we don’t have a cabin assigned yet what happens if the same room is not available on either of the 7 days. This means we would have to change rooms halfway. Since our booking is showing 14 days would that even be possible, that they would not have us the same room for the entire cruise. My concern is that if I call to get a specific cabin and they mess something up and cancel my booking to re-book with a specific cabin that they won’t be able to re book me as a full 14 day as it’s not available and will book us as back-to-back 7 days, in which case I believe I stand a much greater chance of having different cabins for each sailing and having to change after 7 days, also the back to back 7 days would be more expensive than what we have now. I’m tempted to call to make sure I have an assigned cabin for the full 14 days and on the starboard side. However, with only 1 stop at Ocean Cay and now with stops at Costa Maya, Cozumel(twice), Nassau, Ocho Rios and George Town is starboard even the best side to be on? If I don’t do anything, when do they typically assign cabins?
  16. Thanks. Any idea how much to add second device. We originally booked an 11 day but itinerary got changed to 14 at no extra charge so I assume adding the second device would only be the cost of the 11 day.
  17. Can you also upgrade to 2 devices at that time?
  18. Here is the little bit of info that is know so far. https://www.cruisehive.com/popular-private-island-to-receive-massive-100-million-expansion/107962
  19. Your correct that there are currently no sailings showing up on the website for April 7th. Because those sailings will be affected MSC have temporarily taken them down. When we first booked our 11 day we were return to Canaveral on the 7th and other groups were embarking for a 4 night and we were staying for those additional 4 night to make up the 11 nights total. Our 11 night has now been changed to a 14 night so and additional 7 night leaving on April 7th is likely to be added to the site at some point. Your March 31st sailing is still on the website because it's not affected by the closing which is only starting the following week. Since your sailing is not affected MSC has not taken it down.
  20. Just checked the MSC app and the itinerary for our 11 night on Seashore from port Canaveral for March 31, 2024 has been update and is now 14 night. Guess were getting 3 free extra nights, and 2 extra ports which I have never been to. We had already booked our pre flights but not our return flights so everything works out.
  21. For march 31 2024 there was 2 bookings available. A 7 night and a 11 night. the 7 night is before the closure so your cruise shouldn't be affected. Were booked for the 11 night. On the 7th day(when you are disembarking) were staying on for an additional 4 night with a stop at ocean cay which will be during the closure so were definitely affected. I believe our 11 night will now be 14 but your 7 night should not be affected as it's before the island closure.
  22. The post mentions affected and UPDATED. Does this mean the 11 night leaving 3/31/2024 is now an 14 night with ports listed? Were booked on that 11 night. Disappointed not to have 2 stops at Ocean Cay but if we get 3 extra night I think I'd be OK with that. Especially if there is no other additional cost.
  23. Well that's disappointing. Never been there but was the stop I was more looking forward to on our cruise next year. The one good thing I supposed is that were on an 11 day cruise and were supposed to do 2 overnights. The first one is April 1st and 2nd so looks like we should still do that one. Second stop is schedule to be April 8th and 9th. Hopefully they postpone the closer for a few days.
  24. Never been to Ocean Cay but we are booked for next year. It looks like there is a shipwreck snorkeling excursion. Here is a video
  25. I just took a screen shot of my status on RC website and emailed that. Got status matched in a few days.
