I am looking for advice if booking a flight home at 12:00pm is too early. Oceania says 1:00 but from previous experience, I think I could make it. If I don’t take a 12:00 flight, I have to wait until 4:00. I appreciate any help from people who have disembarked in Greenwich and headed to Heathrow. Thanks in advance

I know this is old, but I just thought I’d chime in. I went on Nordic Prince to Bermuda in 1990, when I was 13. It was my first cruise and I loved it. My family and I still talk about that cruise. We all fondly remember the “King and I” salad dressing! It was amazing! What fine service and food was on that cruise. A lot of firsts for me since I was only 13 but many ended up becoming favorites of mine from that cruise forward...escargots, roasted duck, filet mignon, lobster...just to name a few.
I sailed the Song of Norway in 1974 and the Nordic Prince in the late 1980’s. There is nothing in service or food faintly close to what is offered today
Times change and RCCL is competing against the other big cruise lines. Although the ships are bigger with more frills, the days of that time in cruising are long gone for RCCL.
If u r looking for that, try Oceania or Regent

You're still not giving an actual example or photo of the fabulous desserts on Celebrity. How hard is that? I'm actually curious.
Generalities dont tell us anything

I was on Millenium in April. Will never sail Celebrity again. Food was the worst and ship was a rusted tub. Food on Anthem is 100% better

I was looking at the included drinks and was wondering if u can get vodka in a Bloody Mary or something like a Sea Breeze?
Appreciate any further info. We will be on the Anthem in December and just reached Diamond status. Thanks

All Oceania ships have nice laundry rooms with irons. They also have TV and free water

Your allocation, and yes you can order 3 at once

Is the lounge open during the day for cappuccino, etc

The lines I’m referring to are the likes of: Regent, Crystal, Oceania, Viking, Seaborn, Silversea, etc…
For some odd reason that question popped into my mind. I’m curious to hear from those who splurged on a luxury line after many cruises with RCCL. What was your impression? Was it worth it? What was it like? Was it a dream come true, a disaster, or a “Glad I did that but don’t need to do it again”?
I would consider it in the future for a special occasion.
Thanks in advance, Dan
In the last few years we have done 7 Oceania and Regent cruises. We also did a Celebrity to Japan in April. That was one of the worst I have ever been on. I took the family on Anthem 1 1/2 years ago because of the convenience. I am returning on the Anthem in December as I do not want to deal with airports after 2 awful trips within 3 months of each other
There is no comparison between RCCL and Oceania and Regent. I personally love Oceania. Food is fantastic. At night u can go to the buffet and have unlimited lobster tails, jumbo shrimp, lamb chops and steak. As someone mentioned there is no nickel and diving. If u r going without children, this is the way to go. These ships can also dock close to towns as they are no more than 1100 passengers. No big container ports and they provide free shuttles to town
The only thing RCCL has that’s better is the entertainment. In my case it’s the location to the port

You are right. My mistake. It’s Southampton. Thanks for pointing that out
