Hampton Inn Suites Blue Lagoon Miami Restaurants nearby?
Sand and Seas replied to mattyboy's topic in Florida Departures
Yes, we have stayed here several times and enjoy the location. Good Cuban food just across the street. Also, on a couple of trips, we have gotten a nice made-to-order sandwich at Publix. It all depends on how tired we are after flying in😉 -
Norwegain Joy Cabins 15740, 15742 and 15746
Sand and Seas replied to Kortehgehn's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Well now I'm intrigued! Please report back what you find out🧐 -
I've been watching for a cruise that sails from Galveston and repositions to Miami or other port in 2025 or 2026. We loved our prior cruise from Galveston to Miami and are doing the same itinerary next month. So far, I can't find where Prima or Viva goes after Galveston in 2025 & 2026.

Are these shuttles that hold 10 or 12 people? I like a 'smaller' shuttle so we don't have to wait for long.

NCL mid week laundry special price increase
Sand and Seas replied to ready2cruzagain's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Timing is everything! Remember the steward is only in your room once a day now. We try to find our steward in our hallway and handover our bag early in the day. We don't mind our cabin being cleaned later, but want that bag to be sent on to the laundry by mid-day. Usually, we get it back the next day but we understand it can take an additional day. -
Starboard/Port Aft or True Aft Cabin?
Sand and Seas replied to CharmCity2000's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Some of the true Aft (B1) have huge balconies with room for loungers. Those are the ones we look for. On Bliss, the largest (deepest) balconies would be on decks 9 and 12. I would suggest you do a search for specific cabin numbers. -
Revamped NCL Casinos at Sea program benefits
Sand and Seas replied to JGmf's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Which email address did you use? I tried sending a message to an email address that I had used before for CAS inquiries (Casinoi@ncl.com). This used to be a good way to get a written reply regarding a Casino question. I received an automatic reply that they no longer monitor that mailbox😒 -
A couple of years ago, guest services could print a different 'view' of your bill that sorted charges in a different order. I think they could do the same based on who charged. Easy to ask last evening of cruise.

Revamped NCL Casinos at Sea program benefits
Sand and Seas replied to JGmf's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Thanks! The new mailer just brings up questions. Will OBC for upper tiers stay the same? Will the internet package be the same as previous? I also wonder about the new Ruby/Elite benefit of 'Upgrade to Premium Plus Beverage Package'. If we still need to pay the 20%service charge on the regular FAS in order to get the 'upgrade', it really wouldn't be worth it for light-weight drinkers like me🤔 -
The new mailer does not list 'Free Drinks while playing'. It does add 'water package', but who knows what the limits are per tier. I agree, it makes no sense to cut the free drinks. Several of the other benefits listed are similar to what has been listed currently on the CAS website: https://www.ncl.com/why-cruise-norwegian/casino-cruise/players-club

It appears to have replaced the Free Drinks while playing with a 'water package', whatever that might mean for the various tiers. We enjoyed getting cans of Diet soda to take back to our room.

Revamped NCL Casinos at Sea program benefits
Sand and Seas replied to JGmf's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
It does say 'Water package' for Pearl class & higher. However, that would not cover the land based comp cabins unless the cruiser had qualified with 4000 or more points in the prior April 1st to March 31st earning period. Doesn't seem like a nice 'welcome' to new NCL cruisers who booked through CAS. -
Oh, for the love of Cookies! Say it ain't so...

The Great Outdoors is our favorite place on that class of ship. -

Sand and Seas replied to JGmf's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I do not receive mail offers from CAS, but I do receive good offers when I call them. You might get a percent off, or you might get a comped cabin (paying admin & port fees.) I don't know how much you play, or if the tables tracked your play, but it never hurts to call and ask: For casino information and reservations, contact a Casinos At Sea Cruise Specialists 9:00AM to 7:00PM EST Monday to Friday 1-877-PLAY NCL (1-877-752-9625) -

It most likely goes into effect for cruises that start on April 1st or after. I agree- not happy if they are eliminating the drinks in the casino😒 -

@UKstages, it looks like you were correct in your thread under Casino Conversations. Program changes, but we still will need to see some T&Cs about what each level will receive. -

Hmmm....maybe 'water package' is replacing free drinks in casino? Probably a limited number of water cartons based on your tier? I don't like it. We usually bypass the FAS drink package and get by with the drinks from the casino. It looks like it might be adding internet package to Sapphire. As Ruby, we have always gotten 400 minutes of WiFi. -
Aqua no longer sailing from Port Canaveral?
Sand and Seas replied to brad0576's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Happy to see that it is again showing as sailing from PC now. We really enjoyed sailing from there last year. -
That looks like an interesting lunch menu at Cagney's. Did they also invite those from the non-Haven suites? Looking forward to following along with your cruise. Hopefully, your mom will be feeling up to travel again soon!

Does NCL casino have certificates like cruisenext for point trade?
Sand and Seas replied to DanSgt's topic in Cruise Casinos
Sorry, I haven't tried to use one with another type. However, the actual CASNext certificate I received came with Terms & Conditions that said that it couldn't be used with CNext or CFirst certificates. -
Mine just says 'Casino-Value'.....not sure what that means? I've been Ruby Tier in casino for a few years.
-
@UKstages, you've listed a lot of good ideas. I do love the new CASNext certificates. Hopefully, there will be some more changes like the ones you have suggested. Congrats on making Elite! Can you tell me where you were expecting to see 'Elite' listed online? I've never seen anything listed on my ncl account regarding my Ruby status.

Live from the Breakaway 3/10 - 3/17
Sand and Seas replied to justhappy's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Very much enjoying your review! Big congrats for getting your A1C lowered and losing those pounds. You deserve an awesome cruise! Thanks for sharing with us😎 We love Captain Ron too! Our most memorable viewing of the movie was on the deck of a Barefoot Windjammer cruise about 20 or so years ago. We were all sitting under a sailcloth to protect us from the hard rainstorm. It was great fun and we continue to love the movie. And remember, if your ship gets lost just pullover and ask directions😉
