Premium acces that we bought still shows in my order history on the website for a cruise scheduled for next year though. I hope they don't cancel/refund. It was a great deal. @bbstxI don't know the answer for sure, but I'm guessing that since PA includes things in addition to WiFi 2 devices, like free room service, priority seating in theater etc, it would have to be purchased by all...but that's only a guess.

Question for @bbstx. Are you using iPhone or android device for the app? I use android and the app updated today. Premium Access previously appeared under WIFI as Reserved. After today's update it is nowhere! Also, the screenshot you pictured doesn't appear in the Android version of the app.

Android Tablet Users Can Use the Celebrity App: Here's How
Luvcrusn replied to Luvcrusn's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The X app just got an android update, so here's a refresher on how to update the app on your android tablet. First, on the tablet, uninstall the app. Then follow these instructions. If you have both an Android phone and an android tablet you can use the app on your tablet. I do it daily! You cannot download the app directly from the play store, however. This is how to do it. First, go to the Play Store on both your phone. and on your tablet. On both, click the icon at the top right that has your initial. Then, on both choose Manage Apps & device. Then click on Share apps on phone and tablet. On the phone, click send. On the tablet, click receive. On the phone you'll get a list of apps. Scroll down until you see the Celebrity app and check it. Then, click the arrow icon in the upper right-hand corner. On the phone you'll then see a window that says, “Select a receiver.” You should see your tablet listed. Click it. You'll then see a pairing code pop up on both. Click receive on your tablet. Once it's finished click install and then open on your tablet. It will work fine. When there is an update on the app, you'll need to uninstall it on your tablet and repeat the process above. -
It's easy using the app. You can take the picture within the app check-in process, so no separate upload like when using the website. If you can't do it, you can skip and they'll take you pics at the terminal.

I recommend always using an Incognito window when accessing the X website on my computer. It consistently works with any browser.

We had the same issue with the app and website when we were preparing for our cruise in August. On the first day of the cruise we went to dinner at the time we wanted (6PM) and were given a beeper. We waited less than 5 minutes for a table. My DH had a back issue which prevented him from walking far or standing for more than a few minutes. When we left from our dinner we spoke to the hostess at the entrance and explained his problem and she arranged (with no issue) for us to arrive at 6:15 and we'd have the same table nightly. Thereafter we had no waits.
-
Relax. You'll be accommodated. We've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes...and that only rarely.
-
Since your reservation says Anytime, you are free to show up at the time you choose and you'll get accommodated.
-
Yes. I never saw that, but it made sense that that was the case.🙂

They may be making changes ahead of the Black Friday sale. Also, i suspect that they're only selling a limited number of Premium Access per sailing. But that's just my guess.
-
Did you look under WIFI on the website cruise planner? I've noticed that over the last few days there's been a number of changes on the app and I really had to drill down on the app several different ways until I could find where our purchase of it showed up.

Congrats! Yours is the 10,000th post on this thread. Let's hope there's more PUPs to keep this alive.😁

We see the same issues you mentioned here in the US as well. Another X IT issue in a long line of them.

Has anyone tried the isotonic pillows? Maybe a Retreat question.
Luvcrusn replied to zitsky's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We always ask for the isotonic pillows. They are great for side sleepers and provide great head and neck support. We've asked for them in every cabin category on day 1 when we first meet our cabin steward. In fact, we've used them at home for many years, so we were very happy that X has them available. They leave them in addition to the standard pillows in the room. -
Android Tablet Users Can Use the Celebrity App: Here's How
Luvcrusn replied to Luvcrusn's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Perhaps if you have a friend or family member with an android phone, they can download the X app from the Play store and then share it with your tablet using the method I listed above. The only hitch is when there's an app update, you'll have to uninstall the app from your tablet and repeat the process. -

Many folks have been unable to use their android tablets since Celebrity stopped supporting them a few years ago. You can no longer download the Celebrity app from the Play Store nor are you able to update the app when necessary, because you'll get a message that the device is not supported. There is a pretty straightforward work-around. If you have both an Android phone and an android tablet, you can use the app on your tablet. I do it daily! You cannot download the app directly from the play store, however. This is how to do it. If you have both an Android phone and an android tablet you can use the app on your tablet. I do it daily! I haven't. We were on Eclipse in August and that was before OP's notice of the new system. This is only a guess, but maybe you have to log off and then select the choice other than Always on or Premium?
-
It hasn't changed, but they also offer a Premium package for 2 devices so those who purchase that can be logged in on two devices at once without the need to sign out on one to use the other. Premium Access also gives Premium WIFI for 2 devices, but must be purchased by both in the room...so in essence 4 devices.

We could go back and forth.
