This is interesting to me.  I couldn't tell you who the cruise director is/was an any of the cruises I've taken.

Clearly you never sailed with Eddie. He is very memorable! Good luck to him on his future endeavors. He was our favorite!

The start page and the end page are custom. You are probably right about the software exiting quickly and resetting being beyond Celebrity’s control. As I mentioned I have never taken a screenshot. I have always received the points. As far as Celebrity is concerned I don’t think a few people not getting credited is a big concern. It is only a concern for the few people who don’t get credited which is probably rare.

Not so rare at all. It has happened to DH and I 3x since they started offering them in during the Covid shutdown. Luckily I'd taken screenshots since the start and was able to provide them and get the points credited. Consider yourself lucky that it hasn't happened to you....yet.

I finally got this to play all the way through. At the end it took me back to the sign in page!  Any hope of actually getting points for this?  I played it halfway through twice (it quit playing at 27 minutes). Then no acknowledgement.

There was a very brief "thanjs for watching" at the end that then reverted to the sign-in page. I was able to catch a screenshot thanks to a previous post here alerting that the end came right after they talked about the 3rd b2b. Fingers crossed.

I just got back from a cruise (Sunday) on which I was one point shy of the next level.  I had also read posts by people who said you level up on the cruise you are on if the points from that cruise will take you to the next level.  Well, that did NOT happen.  Maybe, Celebrity used to do it?   I feel your "pain" but just a tiny, tiny bit since my next level is Select.

That's never happened. The only time you can level up while on board is if you're on a b2b when the first leg puts you over. In that case, the Captains Club person on board can manually enter your points from leg 1 and apply your new level for leg 2.

this cruise has dropped again .. repriced it again and saved 500€

while this is great it is also frustrating as you would assume that booking early gets the best price ... but this does not seem to be the case

Interesting. We are booked on the same Dec. 2025 Ascent cruise and our price has gone up since we booked in September. We are in the US. I'm wondering if it's a factor of cruise category booked or if it's a matter of country of booking.

  6. Premium acces that we bought still shows in my order history on the website for a cruise scheduled for next year though. I hope they don't cancel/refund. It was a great deal.

@bbstxI don't know the answer for sure, but I'm guessing that since PA includes things in addition to WiFi 2 devices, like free room service, priority seating in theater etc, it would have to be purchased by all...but that's only a guess.

  7. Question for @bbstx. Are you using iPhone or android device for the app?  I use android and the app updated today. Premium Access previously appeared under WIFI as Reserved. After today's update it is nowhere! Also, the screenshot you pictured doesn't appear in the Android version of the app.

  8. The X app just got an android update, so here's a refresher on how to update the app on your android tablet. First, on the tablet, uninstall the app. Then follow these instructions.

If you have both an Android phone and an android tablet you can use the app on your tablet. I do it daily! You cannot download the app directly from the play store, however. This is how to do it.

First, go to the Play Store on both your phone. and on your tablet. On both, click the icon at the top right that has your initial. Then, on both choose Manage Apps & device. Then click on Share apps on phone and tablet. On the phone, click send. On the tablet, click receive. On the phone you'll get a list of apps. Scroll down until you see the Celebrity app and check it. Then, click the arrow icon in the upper right-hand corner. On the phone you'll then see a window that says, “Select a receiver.” You should see your tablet listed. Click it. You'll then see a pairing code pop up on both. Click receive on your tablet. Once it's finished click install and then open on your tablet. It will work fine.

When there is an update on the app, you'll need to uninstall it on your tablet and repeat the process above.

Thanks.  So I'll also need to upload pictures of my wife and I at this time?

It's easy using the app. You can take the picture within the app check-in process, so no separate upload like when using the website.  If you can't do it, you can skip and they'll take you pics at the terminal.

Don't  quite understand what's happened with the Anytime Dining. Because on one place on app for Celebrity Apex it says  reserve times once your on board, yet another  place for our 2/22/25 cruise it allows reservations in the Cosmopolitan. But, those times are an unacceptable late 8:30-9:30 pm times(times conby Celebrity  customer service). We need to eat early with health issues. The early dining we are told is unavailable, so we are wait listed(but probably a waste of time). Still confused and will now send another  email request to my online  TA.

We had the same issue with the app and website when we were preparing for our cruise in August. On the first day of the cruise we went to dinner at the time we wanted (6PM) and were given a beeper. We waited less than 5 minutes for a table. My DH had a back issue which prevented him from walking far or standing for more than a few minutes. When we left from our dinner we spoke to the hostess at the entrance and explained his problem and she arranged (with no issue) for us to arrive at 6:15 and we'd have the same table nightly. Thereafter we had no waits.

Thanks Neighbor. But, does that mean you have to wait in line a long time to get seated(especially at 6 PM without a reservation)? But now I can see that only for the Cosmopolitan Restaurant you can schedule the anytime dining on the app. BUT some nights ONLY 9:00 or 9:30 PM. Earliest on others is 8:30 PM. This is a big problem for us. Have you recently experienced this as it seems like Celebrity recently changes their policy? Thanks for any input.

Relax. You'll be accommodated. We've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes...and that only rarely.

Only booked our Apex cruise this week for Feb.22, 2025.This when I saw a E1 Prime Inf,Veranda cabin open up.  We've never booked so late. But independent travel agent said only ANYTIME dining was available. But, we prefer early dining since our stomachs won't tolerate later dining. While we are wait listed for early dining, I called Celebrity direct and agent said only 9 PM was available any night with the anytime dining. This seems odd. On other ships when we used to do the anytime, you could schedule your dining on the phone app. But, it won't let us schedule it at this time. Any suggestions short of getting a Doctors note to show the Maitre D when we get on board?

Since your reservation says Anytime, you are free to show up at the time you choose and you'll get accommodated.

We purchased Premium Access for a February 2025 sailing back in August. I got an email about today's flash sale, so I'm tooling around on an August 2025 sailing we have booked, looking at what's available at what discount, and I don't see Premium Access listed anywhere. Where should I be able to find it? Is it not available on all sailings?

Did you look under WIFI on the website cruise planner? I've noticed that over the last few days there's been a number of changes on the app and I really had to drill down on the app several different ways until I could find where our purchase of it showed up.

Has anyone’s cruise on the app messed up today? I’m in the UK and the wifi options are all in dollars and premium access is missing. Also on the website some of the options have all been duplicated. Wifi and dining are on twice.

We see the same issues you mentioned here in the US as well. Another X IT issue in a long line of them.

I do not have an Android phone, just tablets. It worked fine on my older tablet until 2 years ago, when it quit working and I'd get the message 'no longer compatible with this device'. I tried to download on my new tablet and I get, 'not compatible with your device'. 😭

Perhaps if you have a friend or family member with an android phone, they can download the X app from the Play store and then share it with your tablet using the method I listed above. The only hitch is when there's an app update, you'll have to uninstall the app from your tablet and repeat the process.

    Thanks!

Not sure I said above correctly.  If I get the points, I'll be Zenith (unless they screw up the 2 Go Greens I have) between the cruises.  If I don't get the points, and nothing else shows up, it's after the second one.

Good luck. Hope all points arrive in time!

I appreciate the clarification.  And not challenging your experience with your device,  but I guess my tablet must be a supported version as, mentioned before, that is an included device that I have not had any issues with, including downloading the app from Play Store.

So I guess some are still ok while others may not be.  And if so, your information is good for those who may be having issues.

Pardon my curiosity but it got the best if me. May i ask what brand/size of android tablet you're using.  Shopping season is upon us.😜
