  1. when you search for the Celebrity app, you can seen the first option shows that it wont work on this device. The second entry shows it's installed. I have an androind Samsung tab A8.
  2. Many folks have been unable to use their android tablets since Celebrity stopped supporting them a few years ago. You can no longer download the Celebrity app from the Play Store nor are you able to update the app when necessary, because you'll get a message that the device is not supported. There is a pretty straightforward work-around. If you have both an Android phone and an android tablet, you can use the app on your tablet. I do it daily! You cannot download the app directly from the play store, however. This is how to do it. If you have both an Android phone and an android tablet you can use the app on your tablet. I do it daily! You cannot download the app directly from the play store, however. This is how to do it. First, go to the Play Store on both your phone. and on your tablet. On both, click the icon at the top right that has your initial. Then, on both choose "Manage Apps & device." Then click on Share apps on phone and tablet. On the phone, click send. On the tablet, click receive. On the phone you'll get a list of apps. Scroll down until you see the Celebrity app and check it. Then, click the arrow icon in the upper right-hand corner. On the phone you'll then see a window that says, “Select a receiver.” You should see your tablet listed. Click it. You'll then see a pairing code pop up on both. Click receive on your tablet. Once it's finished click install and then open on your tablet. It will work fine. When there is an update on the app, you'll need to uninstall it on your tablet and repeat the process above.
  3. I haven't. We were on Eclipse in August and that was before OP's notice of the new system. This is only a guess, but maybe you have to log off and then select the choice other than Always on or Premium?
  4. It hasn't changed, but they also offer a Premium package for 2 devices so those who purchase that can be logged in on two devices at once without the need to sign out on one to use the other. Premium Access also gives Premium WIFI for 2 devices, but must be purchased by both in the room...so in essence 4 devices.
  5. We could go back and forth.
  6. We could choose between Elite minutes and premium on Eclipse in August.
  7. I usually ask for wheelchair assistance for DH boarding, since ramps, and extended standing can be an issue. I'm wondering how that will work in combination with the Premium Access. Does anyone have any experience with this to share?
  8. If you mean the loungers under the overhang in the shade, no they are not.
  9. For those who haven't paid for upgrading and are Elite and above! How do they toggle between free minutes and basic?
  10. That's a very good question! I'm wondering how folks with android tablets will connect sinceX stopped supporting the app for android tablets (although there's a workaround for that). Some folks have paid for 2 devices.
  11. That must be new. We were on Eclipse in August and had to connect the usual way by creating an account. Not only that, but our premium WIFI kept dropping in our cabin and elsewhere around the ship. They finally added an extender in our room that solved the problem...at least when we were in the cabin.
  12. Whenever our points were MIA I've had to call. Then, after providing the documentation that we'd participated (screenshots, etc.) we've had to wait until the 14th of the month following the call for the points to show up. Good luck.
  13. The only difference seems to be that we were told that they would be in our cabin and not on the balcony. We were also told that we weren't allowed to leave them on the balcony when they weren't in use. When we boarded, they weren't in the cabin but were on the balcony. They were also on the balcony of every other Aqua Class cabin as well...even those who hadn't contacted special needs.
  14. Go into your Celebrity app, click on the person icon at the top. Then click where is says you number of points. Then you'll see an option for Loyalty Match. The instructions are just a tad mixed up!!!
  15. We had a similar problem with Royal Caribbean C & A not matching when we moved from Elite to Elite+ on Celebrity. The problem was easily solved by going onto Royal's website and removing our C & A number, saving, then re-entering it. I suggest you try doing the same on Silversea and see if that solves the problem for you.
  16. We were presented with a similar "problem" a few years ago. They similarly decided to remove footstools from Aqua Class balconies for "safety reasons." After numerous non-productive emails and phone calls and getting similar answers to OP with the whys being unanswered, I decided to call the Special Needs department and explain that due to a knee problem (mine) and a back problem (DH's) we required the use of footstools to elevate our feet. We were promised the footstools would be in our cabin upon arrival, and admonished that we SHOULD NOT leave them on our balcony when they were not in use. We were also warned that there would be SEVERE consequences (unspecified) if we left them on the balcony. When we arrived on the ship, the footstools were on the balcony.🤣
  17. If you click on "Follow" for this thread you can get an email whenever there is a new post. A quick glance will tell you whether it's a new PUP opportunity or not. No need for a separate sticky. The stickies that are already there take up too much of the first page already and block out new threads very quickly.
  18. At bare minimum I'd place a credit freeze with all three credit bureaus.
  19. Perhaps you should re-think not caring about your old passport. It contains quite a bit of information that could be valuable to someone with less than honest intentions to compromise your identity. I'd advise trying to track it down.
  20. I've often wished for a phone number like 800-760-0654 extension# RIGHTPERSON.
  21. That would explain it.🤣
  22. What are you trying to do? Not sure from your post. If it's to get your PUP points to register, you may need to call Captains Club. If it's to get an update to your Captains Club level and you are unable to remove and re-enter your Captains Club number, you also might need to make the phone call.
  23. We shared your cruise and opinion!
  24. When our points haven't arrived I've called Captains Club at 800-760-0654. Don't press any prompts. When you get a person tell them about which points you're missing and that you've got the screenshots and offer to email them. They'll take it from there.
