  1. Reported to be docked for repairs after hitting a container while on South Pacific cruise. Todays departure for Tasmania has been cancelled. Refunds plus 50% OBC. My son is on Ovation in Vila atm. He and his friends almost booked it but luckily decided otherwise.
  2. Usually I would say HAL, my present favourite as I haven't been on Celebrity since COVID. In my earlier days of cruising I tried five different cruislines to get a varied experience. So, go for Princess. Which one? Toss a coin. If you have read ship reviews by different people who did the same cruise at the same time you would not believe they were on the same ship. A lot of Princess acolytes here so good luck.
  3. As mentioned previously you may have no problem taking them onboard. As OP is from UK this may help. https://www.gov.uk/bringing-plants-and-wood-into-great-britain
  4. Thank you. The flag flying there is the Union Jack which was the official British flag until 1801 when Ireland was included with the addition of St. Patrick's cross. Next pic.
  5. Fort Prince of Wales, Churchill, Manitoba
  6. Better to be an outpatient than an impatient inpatient.🙄
  7. It's 14 days including flights. I won't know his itinerary until he gets back from SP cruise Wednesday week but I see him often enough at home as he lives in the next street.
  8. I've booked a holiday but not a cruise. Sth Korea in September. My son and friends leave for SP on Ovation tomorrow. He will also be on a Japan/S Korea cruise at the same time as me.
  9. Hmm. Not sure but it rings a bell.
  10. Correct. It was fun to watch. And no Christians or lions died during the production.😄 Your turn.
  11. Thank you. That was a tricky one. Next pic. x2.
  12. I didn't notice Turkish pistacchios when I've been in Turkey. I did like their walnuts and dried apricots which we bought from roadside vendors. A walnut wrapped in an apricot was a great travelling snack.
  13. I eat a lot of nuts, mainly Macadamias, pistacchios and cashews, usually from Coles. The macadamias seem to taste better, to me, than those from Aldi or Woolworths.
  14. That was is it! The gannets. Thank you. Next pic. An easy one.
  15. Cape Kidnappers, near Napier. Place of an internationally known cliff top golf course. I recall reading a report of a cruise tour in the vicinity which was excellent but I can't remember the details of why it was. Been there about five times, land and sea.
  16. For me, dinner was always casual, collared, short sleeve shirt with long pants. The only time I have worn a tie on a cruise was for Veterans meet-up when I wore my dad's WW2 regimental tie (New Guinea Air Warning Wireless Company)..
