The company itself may not be union, but its employees are. There are several NLRB complaints filed against them over the years from the International Longshoremen's Association union. -

It'd have to be a bucket list type cruise, or just a price we couldn't pass up, to sail a vision class ship. Granted, we did have a bucket list cruise (Panama Canal) and a price we couldn't pass up (out of Tampa) that later got canceled for non-covid reasons. -
So this all turned out to be a casino signature cruise which meant there were much higher top tier numbers than a typical cruise. Much ado about nothing.

I feel bad for the evacuees though. Other countries are flying their own back home. But the USA is just sending them to Cyprus via ship.

The more info that comes out, the more it seems this is just a reaction to an extreme amount of high tier cruisers due to the nature of the cruise and not a cut and dry indication of a fleetwide policy.

Maybe a trial program. They've quietly done this type of thing (like offering MDR lunch on embarkation day on Mariner for a few weeks) here and there. That said, isn't Quantum on a relocation cruise right now?

Since the ships have ESPN Caribbean, there are different rules for broadcasts. Turner and Fox often syndicate the games to ESPN for broadcast outside the USA. This goes for all major US sports.
