My medallion was supposed to unlock my cabin door but rarely worked unless I waved it around right at the door or slapped it against the wall. Another useless waste of time and I like my Celebrity Seapass card that works ever time.

The Medallion on Princess was one of the things I disliked the most and I was So happy to throw it in the trashcan as I left the ship

Sounds like you feel the same way about the Sky Lounge as I do. Let me warn you that the last of the 5 S class ships Reflection has a butchered up Sky Lounge where X cut off most of the Left half to install more Suites. At the same time the ceiling was lowered and part of the floor raised. 🥲

My experience with Princess was the same and No Sky Lounge at the front of the ship. that is my Favorite place on Celebrities S and M class ships.

On the Celebrity ships that have a shower gel pump bottle locked up in the shower I just ask the Stateroom attendant for a separate one by the sink. I don’t care for the slimy bar soap either. i am on Eclipse now and the one in the shower is Not in a cage so I just moved it out by the sink.

My wife and I cruise together a few times a year but she dislikes sea days so I do a TA solo every year. You will find others like yourself and will enjoy it.

The question was about the MDR and I’m onboard Eclipse now and in the MDR they Do have assistant Waiters and Sommelier and that has been my recent experience on the S and M class ships.

Wrong! I thought so but we just had a Chilean Cost Guard Helicopter LAND on the Celebrity Eclipse helipad a few days ago at sea near the bottom of South America for a Medical Evacuation. The ship did stop and the sea conditions were moderate.

Depending on where you are coming from Please consider arriving at least One day Before your cruise. dealing with possible flight delays and the transfer from the airport to the ship on the day Of the cruise can be stressful. there are 3-4 hotels close to the Southampton cruise terminal that will Not break the bank and Southampton itself is worth a days exploring. Celebrities transfer only operate’s on Cruise days but there are a lot of other options to get from the airport to Southampton.

I do TA’s but I like the East to West ones like this because you cross a lot of time zones and do a lot of Turning the Clock Back. going the other way you loose a lot of hours…. TA’s have a Lot of Sea Days so they are Not for those who Like getting Off the ship a lot. Celebrity schedules lots of Activities, Entertainment and other things to keep us occupied on sea days so you can do as Much or as Little as your heart desires!❤️
