Just thought of my own questions...

Does anyone know how long the flight is from Manchester to Genoa??

Also, if we land at 9:10 am are we taken straight to the ship? From what time can we board? Will we be able to get lunch on the ship?

Off on OCEANA next week Genoa to Venice and Mrs NN is getting in a fluster thinking about what to pack!

Any clue what weather is like in Med at this time? Forcast look reasonable but not particularly warm.

Do you think it will be warm enough to go in the pool? Should we pack swimming stuff?

On shore for excursions do you think shorts/ sundress or jeans?

Sandals or boots?

In the evenings will we need a jacket/ cardi ( up on deck I'm sure, but don't have experience of Oceana and its air con temps)

Any advice or help greatly appreciated.

Is it really THAT formal?

Mrs NN isn't sure if she needs to pack long dresses or if smart shorter ones will do.

Won't she feel 'overdressed' in a formal long evening gown as worn to a black tie ball etc??

Evening sandals/shoes too? Evening bag?

Will she be needing a hair appointment? Won't they all book up fast.

Of my goodness, your trip report is raising my levels of excitement for fast approaching first adventure on SD

Mrs. N. Nuttela is deliriously happy with the change to L'Occitane. It is a definite improvement on Bulgari. We have been tempted in the past not to fly Emirates for the very reason we don't like their choice of Bulgari in their overnight bags and in the bathrooms!!!

Oh, and Mrs N would like to know the colour way and sizing of the SD pyjamas.

I'm a tad alarmed now! How does one ascertain the likelihood of a 'large group' being onboard?

First time on SD approaching (7th March) and not relishing being a spare part to a swarming hoard.

Any helpful chap got the low down (or 'heads up', depending on which side of pond you hail from)
