  1. Sweet! I can see how you won a lot! You are a great singer!
  2. Yes, that's sort of what I thought. Have fun, have friends! What songs did you sing?
  3. Such interesting comments here. I tried out on my first Princess cruise and didn't get past the preliminary voting the first couple of nights. The second time, I practiced my songs and did fairly well. Went to finals. Got in top three. The person that won was a cute, 16 year old. She sang just OK. I am a 65 year old woman that sings in a rock band. I don't look cute, but I have quite the rock voice. I think they really don't want the best singers. I think they want those that they think the audience will approve of winning. So if you are older....just have fun and be warned. It's not a singing contest. It's entertainment.
  4. I will be on a bus with a group of 50 people arriving at the Civitavecchia Port. We are wondering if it's important to print out luggge tags for all of us and attach them to our suitcases (a lot of work with such a large group) or just give them our cabin numbers when we check in? Also, do you know how close this bus can get to the ship or will we have to take a shuttle?
  5. This is my benchmark for a cheap cruise. They will nickle and dime us to death elsewhere as a result. Probably not your benchmark, but it is mine.
  6. No lobster just says "cheap cruise" to me. Just sharing. You don't have to be snarky. Typical Packer fan.
  7. I use lobster as a benchmark to check to see what cruise lines are better than the others as far as food is concerned. There should be one lobster night in the main dining room on all good cruise ships. As far as I understand, many cruise lines do not do this. They are: NCL, RCCL, Carnival, Costa. It should not matter how many days you cruise to get lobster in the main dining room. If they do not have a lobster night, I book elsewhere.
  8. We are cruising Majestic Princess in June to Alaska. We are a large group of 70 people and have been given a free one hour party with drinks and appetizers. Any suggestions as to where and when would be the best place and time to do it?? We want to ask the Captain to drop by if possible. Thanks so much!
