Hi all! This might seem inconsequential to some, but is there really only one WC (for both sexes?) on decks 10 and 11 on Navigator. If so that seems kind of odd to accommodate the pool, la verandah, and Galileo’s!

I emailed my ta and she got back to me with a pdf of my excursions showing them booked. So that is good! I think maybe just don’t look at my account😄

I got confirmation for my excursions for tahiti cruise Jan 28. When I went to my account it shows the one we paid for with shipboard credits as waitlisted. I don’t think that should be the case as it was already confirmed via email. Which do I believe?

Hi all. We were going to use Regents air for cruise in Jan., but have decided to do our own. It got me wondering, though, if TAs receive a commission on that portion of the booking. If so, mine might not be too happy with me!

Gardyloo- hope you’re still monitoring this thread. What a fantastic bit of information! I had no idea you could do something like this. I will definitely try this for coming years. In the meantime we have a cruise in Tahiti late Jan 24, and we want business class, and we’re willing to put out the almost 10 grand (can$) ea. However, I happened to notice a few months ago United had flights out of SFO for around 6000 can. Now I can’t find those flights at all. In any case I have taken a look at Star alliance row, as we could possibly want to do a repositioning cruise Cape Town to Rio the following early Jan. Before I drive myself nuts trying to figure out if this is possible, I thought I would ask if you think it could be done?

We asked for and received that evening after dinner- Woodford Reserve (thought it would be bourbon, but was Rye)- 1 liter, and Hendricks which was 750 ml. Both made it home with us. We just always drank the champagne in the room, which was restocked when empty(once or twice we had to request it, but it was always provided in a timely fashion.

So very late to this party, finally found a spot to get wifi to work- I think! cruise has been wonderful, however it started not so good, as the second day of the cruise I came down with the flu. I spent 2 days in bed thinking about throwing myself off the balcony, but didn’t have the strength to get up to do it. We decided to stay to ourselves for the first week. Glad I had the flu shot in Nov. or it could have easily ruined the entire trip. As it is, I am still not able to indulge in the way I had expected, but am loving the ship and the entertainment, now that I feel it is ok to attend. Last nights celebration was amazing- first time in 15 years we have made it till midnight, though we did head to bed after the pool deck shut down. We have been loving Gino in the observation lounge for pre dinner drinks, and trivia has been great fun- first timers, and pleasantly surprised to get about half the answers correct. Going to enjoy a relaxing sea day, just finishing brunch, and going to go to the blackjack tournament. It was so nice getting that extra hour sleep in.

On board for the holidays😀 Sitting at pool grill waiting for lobster nachoes. Just arrived, time to eat.

No help with this? Has everyone who has cruised lately received this email to watch the safety video again(after watching during online check in). I did contact my ta, and she said we have completed everything as far as she can see( she is a regent specialist from a very well known luxury cruise travel company). I know I probably shouldn’t worry, but it is in my nature 😊

Just a bit concerned! We got the email to watch the safety video again before boarding (72 hrs before), which we did, but just received an urgent email to do so. It said final notice! So I assume they did not receive the first attempt. We watched again just now, but I wonder if this one will work? I tried logging into my account thinking maybe that was what zi did wrong the first time, but couldn’t find anything about it on there so just watched the video from the email. Can anyone advise me on this or should I contact my ta?

Re Chartreuse, are you still just going at 6:30 or do you have a reservation? We loved it on Voyager, and hope to get more than one night during the 16 nights of the holiday cruise.

We are on our way. Got off the island, and sitting in Fairmont yvr before our flight to Seattle tomorrow and on to Miami on Sunday. Fairmont is a lovely relaxing way to start our journey. Holiday decorations similar to Splendor.

Thanks all. I will pack some. I just always seem to come down with something when travelling, so for a little extra protection when in crowded areas I will mask up. Kwajgirl- thanks for the reminder that not all coughers are spreaders. Certainly something to keep in mind.

Just wondering if we need to pack some. We might want to wear one on crowded excursion buses. Would like to avoid all the different bugs out there this time of year, if possible.

cwn, thank you for the response to my query about the drawer at the desk. That sounds great! I really think we would enjoy one of those aft G2s, balcony sounds lovely, as well. Am envious of all your travels, afraid we are a little late to the party- we will never get to do anywhere near that amount of travel, but am certainly grateful to be able to do what we can. Thanks for carrying on in great style!

cwn, we are also thinking of booking one of those suites for a future cruise. Looks lovely! Can you tell me if there is a drawer in the middle of that desk? That would have to be where my makeup would live. That’s probably my biggest concern about the suite😊

BBWC- wow, really! I think I will throw in a pair in case. Never even considered they would have a tailor on board. I assume this was pre Covid?

Hubby is taking his white dinner jacket. Unfortunately, I just thought to get him to try on all his formal wear (he has 3 tuxes from our now non existent ballroom dancing group), only to discover nothing fits, not even one pair of black pants. Short of going on a starvation diet (he refuses😄), he will wear the white jacket with a pair of dark gray trousers probably Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve. I am taking one long dress, and a loose fitting cocktail dress for New Years in case I run into the same problem by the time we get to it. I think it’s quite likely😄.

Two weeks to go till we leave for the Splendor holiday cruise. We are taking 3 days to get to Miami( 1 to get off the island- we have a foot of snow here, and no one could get off- no flights or ferries running one day last week-1 to Seattle, and 1 to Miami, then 2 nights there before boarding), and I’m still a little anxious. What on earth am I going to do for those 2 weeks without your lovely blog each day! Maybe you could just keep posting after you get home- love to hear about the gourmet meals you will be having, how about a tour through your house, showing us all the special little areas like you did on Splendor, and don’t forget afternoon tea😄

GP, going to try and follow your lead re the things we didn’t do first cruise- thanks for the list(except we did do Sette Mari a couple of times, and loved it, as well). You seem to know just what sort of things we would all like to hear about. Wouldn’t you know, I just wanted to do my online check in, and my Mac had an attack. Grrrr! I can do it on the iPad or phone, but I want to print it out, as well as mobile.. oh well, we certainly have time to figure it out. Nice to see Zqueeze jumping back in here. Miss his wonderful posts- wish he would take another cruise!
