We loved Harvest Caye and used it as our beach day. The beach area is big and was very nice. Water was a tad rough the day we were there, the sand is shell and rocks, otherwise it was great!

It is a long walk from pier to the entrance, I don't like to walk, but it wasn't too bad. They also have the transportion back and forth. As far as shopping, it is just a few shops set up for the private island itself. We got trinkets. They had sunblock (pricey) and I think a Harley store, etc...

The pool area was huge and super nice. A great alternative to the beach. The pool is worth getting off the boat. It has a wade into area and also benches in the water to "sit on the edge" There is also a pool bar that stayed pretty hopping. Remember you pay for EVERYTHING on the island to eat and drink.

I feel you could carry off a beach tote full of food, as they never checked our bags upon leaving the Getaway. Def can take Water bottles. Just get rid of food and drink before boarding again as they scan your bags!

We splurged and ate at Land Shark Grill. We should've split the club sandwhich, it was HUGE. Prices typical and we charged to our room key there.

Nature park was a nice, quick walk thru. Nice touch. Def get off the boat and see what the island is about, it was great!

Are there flat screen TVs in the rooms and do you have more than 9 channels? Just got off the Getaway in March and looking for a quick July 4th cruise.

Will a diffuser attach to the hair dryer? Like the snap on type. I have curly hair and need a diffuser to not have a bad hair day.
