We've sailed on the Beyond, the Apex, and will sail on the Edge later this year. All have been non-suite but Sunset Veranda staterooms. We love the Sunset Bar areas as well as Eden and the four restaurants choices.

We purchase a one-way ticket and biked down to the ship. Not for the faint of heart. Next time I would choose to hike down. 

We used Italytours.eu and were very happy with our small group independent tours.

I know this is a bit older post but I appreciate the information and photos!

I've got some additional Edge Magic Carpet Suite balcony questions. It looks like the balcony is completely covered. Do you get any sun on the balcony? Does this make the cabin darker?

We're looking at a summer sailing (December) in Australia. We usually book the Sunset Verandas but not there's not much shade on the balcony.

Would you and @NMTraveller be willing to share the wineries you are visiting? Family is gathering in March for a 90th birthday celebration and they want to visit some of the wineries near Napa while in town. The last time I visited wineries in Napa or Sonoma was more than 30 years ago. Thank you.

Yes! If you missed out, keep checking. Our offer has been all over the place but I managed to get the upgrade yesterday for $6.99 + gratuity before it went up to $9.99 later in the day. Now it is back down.

We had a wonderful Twilight Trastevere walking food tour in June 2022. One morning we got up very early and walked from our hotel (Hotel Ponte Sisto) to the Trevi Fountain without the tourist crowds. 

Have a gelato or an Aperol Spritz for me.

I'm glad they listened to the recorded phone call. Did they review their copy of the invoice since you have an invoice that states you have AI?  I know our Big Box invoices always spell sout what we have but we usually book onboard and transfer it.

I would continue to politely push. What would a drink package cost for your cruise if you booked on the Celebrity website? Can you ask for OBC to cover that? Gratuities? Internet?

We enjoy reading on our SV balcony as well. The current E class balcony chairs are not comfortable reading chairs.  

Now for some wishful thinking:  If they were to replace those uncomfortable Hoppen chairs with the ones I remember from the M and S class ships (along with the footstools that disappeared), that would be wonderful! 

We were on the Beyond June 4, 2022 and both of our Sunset Verandas had one lounger, two chairs and one small table.

We were on the Apex July 31 and August 9, 2023 and each of our Sunset Verandas had one lounger, two chairs and one small table.

And, yes, the chairs were not that comfortable and the table was not big enough for a meal.

Reporting back from the 9/8 Navigator weekend cruise. I caught the sea lions just before we docked in Ensenada. We could hear them as we arrived. They made a quick get-away as the dock workers approached and did not reappear while we were docked. Photo from Deck 11.

I appreciate all that you have shared so far on your trip report. We board tomorrow for a quick weekend HS reunion cruise.

No idea. Just what we were told at our B2B meeting by the officer in charge before our August 9th cruise on the Apex. He said “a while ago”.  We were in a Sunset Veranda if that makes a difference. 

Maybe others on different ships have had different experiences?

B2B cruisers were not included in the MDR lunch on the Apex August 9th 2023 cruise. We were told they got rid of that a while ago. 🤷‍♀️

Just off the Apex B2B. First cruise we had Premium and had no problems. Second cruise we had Basic and we could not see as a normal website or use CC.

Eden is a great space to enjoy a quiet drink before or after supper. You’ve got the bar space, the ramp with views of the aft, and another area at the top of the ramp.
