  1. I will be following this thread, as my husband and I also got the BLUE CHIP offer and will be sailing in March!!
  2. Glad I got ahead of it. Was able to snag spots on a preferred time.
  3. Just found out that our flight from JFK to LAX for next March was changed, because UNITED AIRLINES will stop service from JFK the end of this month. United switched my flight to NEWARK, (I live on LONG ISLAND) and not close at all. They did not even email me to let me know. I called CELEBRITY AIR, and they are switching me to American Airlines, and honoring my flight costs. So, if you are in a similar boat, I would check the flights and change them if possible.
  4. I have a Magnet type, which is about 8x10 that says HOME SWEET HOME. It really does help us to not walk right past our cabin!
  5. I was on the Odyssey of the Seas in August, and they did not give us the daily Compass. We went to customer service, and they gave us one, and told us to just tell our Room Steward that we would like a paper copy. We did so, and the rest of our trip, we had it on our bed during turn down service for the next day.
  6. Anyone know if you can get a bottle/can of water during Elite cocktail hour? I like to have a water with every drink, so I don't get dehydrated!
  7. right after I sign into the Celebrity website, it has my upcoming reservation on the top right, and next to it, it has OBC $100.
  8. I got the Blue Chip free cruise last month for an Aqua Suite upgrade ($418 for 2 people), and I was able to get my Stock credit. It has already been added to my reservation. So, anyone saying it doesn't work, you should still try it. Mine did!
  9. I'm going the first week in March. Got R/T from JFK to LAX and transport back to LAX after Cruise for $770 (for 2 of us), using Celebrity Air, which I don't need to pay for until December! We are renting a car, so don't need transport to the port. Going a few days early, but haven't booked anything yet for those nights.
  10. Good to know! We will be also bringing some wine onboard, and are ready, willing and able to spring for some drinks! Cruise is only costing us $418 for Aqua Suite. So we are way ahead of the game! Woo Hoo!
  11. This is great news. Have only had the drink package on past cruises, so never paid attention. But my next cruise was a comp from Blue Chip Club, so has no perks. But we are Elite, so it is going to come in handy!
  12. I have a Fuji XP70 underwater camera. Have had it for years. They have newer ones now. But I used it for Cliff Jumping in Spain, and snorkeling in the Caribbean and my trip last month to Greece. Worked great!. I attached a floating strap so that it would sink. Was able to toss it back and forth to family so they could take photos too.
  13. I am booked on a cruise in March 2023. I called and booked airfare from JFK-LAX and did not pay anything yet, but also have my seats booked. In fact, Celebrity did it for me. In the past, I have gotten the airline locator number and chose them myself. But this time I didn't have to. I was also able to change my flights before I pay as well. I did this as well for Royal Caribbean (parent company) last month. But I flew JFK to Rome, and it was on ITA, and I could not choose seats until 24 hours before the flights. Very stressful since it was 9 hour flights and 5 people. But we managed!
  14. Husband and I are booked on the Solstice for next March (with the Casino deal) in an Aqua Suite. Can't wait to see this ship, as we have only sailed on the Constellation (twice). Would love to see any pictures of the ship and info! Makes the wait that much more exciting!
  15. Yes, I was actually signed into their website and was checking cabin locations and pics on cruisedeckplans website. Of course the aft facing cabin I had my eyes on was gone. But I was able to snag the Aqua on an angled hump. One of the larger decks for Aqua class!
  16. I emailed on Saturday but got no response, so I called yesterday and am booked!
  17. Well, after the batteries drained in my home phones twice, I finally got through. I was able to get an Aqua Suite for $418 for my husband and myself in March 2023. Not bad. Love Bleu, so its like have a private restaurant meal included! And spa.
  18. I had to hang up after two hours and 15 minutes on Saturday. I emailed, haven’t heard back yet. If it is meant to be, they will call me.
  19. Got this email, actually two emails. One to me and one to my husband. we are definitely interested , and would want to upgrade to Aqua Class. Love that category. Going to call tomorrow about March sail dates. We are in NY, so want to get an airfare quote as well. Anyone know if they do that? We are Diamond on Royal so we have reciprocal status which I would assume may help us with WiFi and drink add on. Anyone have a clue on this? BTW, we are also Pearl status for casino. Don’t really gamble that much, but do hit the casino at least a few times.
  20. I have THE KEY booked for my August 7th cruise especially for the advantage it gives my family for tendering in Santorini, as we are doing a private excursion and need to be off the ship quickly.
  21. I don't take this too seriously. I think it is more of joking kind of thing on the original poster's son's part. Ast least that is how I took it. I know so many twenty somethings. They are hardworking kids. Guess I am lucky. I'm 58, grew up poor. My husband and I have 2 kids, 26 and 24. They have gone on wonderful cruises, vacations and we were able to cover their college. We don't live in a mansion, don't have new cars. Their memories of those trips far outweigh anything we could have purchased. They are not entitled at all. They have both moved out on their own, they have great jobs and we are so very proud of them. My husband and I are lucky enough to be able to help them along. College was $1,500 a semester when I went to college. $18,000-$22,000 a semester for them. So much harder on these kids. Getting a job/career, you need a college degree. You didn't need that when I was their age. We are taking our kids on a cruise next month. It was supposed to happen in 2020, that was for my son's Graduation and daughter getting into her Master's program at Marist. Only 15 people were accepted. Very proud. Well, now this trip is for her Graduation with a Masters and my son getting a job with the New York Health Dept. with his Forensic Science Degree. Daughter will now be the School Psychologist in the school district she did her internship at. As a mom, we want to make it special for them. Putting up a sign isn't a lot. But it makes them feel happy and acknowledged. And don't we all want that? Who is it hurting? No one. ok, off my soapbox.
  22. Then I think a nod to his Graduation is in order! Happy Birthday to your daughter and a CONGRATS sign for your son.
  23. Make a sign that says something like "Mom, Dad and Big Brother Johnny, are Celebrating Mary's 5th Birthday!" And then put a photo of each of you, and a larger photo of the Birthday girl. If you want to go further, laminate it, and put magnets on the back so you can just put it on the door. Easy peasy.
  24. It is for the Casino, if you have ever used your card there or signed up for their casino gambling.
