  1. I contacted a couple of tour operators and they all said 60-90mins after arrival of cruise ship. I did have my concerns which is why I decided to go private instead of a shared tour, but I’ll see if i can reach out to them again regarding timings... Do you remember the approx time it took to get to Fira after you docked? If it was a recent trip? If not no worries...
  2. Thank you both for the replies. So if 9pm is the last tender then I guess 7pm would be the latest we should head back to the cable cars, @KeithJenner- I had a look at the schedule and looks like only our ship will be in port that day on May 14 (We are with Norwegian Jade max pax of 2400 I guess if I’m not mistaken)
  3. Say if a ship departs 10PM and the last tender is an hour before? I’m trying to book a tour specifically for Santorini which will be in port from 12-10PM, am I correct in assuming that I should start heading back to the cable cars around 7PM? Also is 90mins sufficient time to meet up with the tour guide (at the end of the cable car in FIRA) if the ship docks at 12PM? Also, just generally speaking is normally All Aboard Time an hour before departure or 30mins before departure?
  4. How many days out did you find out that your bid had been accepted? I am trying to figure out if I am still in the game...cabins are still available for booking and the cruise hasn't sold out yet, any hope?
  5. I’ve posted this on the Greek Ports page but haven’t got a reply and being 30 days out I need to book and make a decision So I’ll be in Santorini on the Norwegian Jade on May 14, 2019! From reading this boards and gathering information I found out that there’s going to 4 Ships in port on that day (meaning a lot of crowd). Our ship is going to be in port from 12PM-10PM! I either have a choice to book a 4.5hr tour or a 6hr tour which includes Akrotiri. Is a 6hr tour reasonable? Or should I book the 4.5hr tour? If I were to book 4.5hr what sites are must see? This is going to be based on what we want to do and see. Would we be able to include Akrotiri in the 4.5hr tour? Any help appreciated Thanks in advance PS: If someone wants to reply on the original post instead of here here’s the link https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2653966-santorini-suggestions-how-many-hours-tour-to-book/

  7. For those of you who are teetotalers and are latitude members do NCL supplement the welcome aboard alcoholic bottle in your stateroom to something non alcoholic if you don’t drink at all? How do you go about doing this?
  8. So I recently placed a bid and I know I wont hear now until my sail date which is in May. But do I check in and download all the forms/documentations? Or if I check in now would that just be me kind of like saying I accept my cabin and wouldn't want an upgrade? Obviously I don't have a problem if my bid isnt accepted, but I atleast want them to have a look at my bid and consider me.
  9. I just type in Google NCL UK and it gives me the UK version. Same as when I wanted to check while booking my parents who reside in the UK. I just typed NCL UK and it directed me to the UK website. And with the exchange rate and all booking in USD became much cheaper for them rather than booking in GBP. So its always worth a look at the NCL.com page for prices!
  10. Price has gone down almost $300 pp for OceanView Cabin. Since we booked within 80 days we were required to pay full payment instead of just a deposit. TA says that we’ll not be getting anything for the price drop. Not even OBC! Is that really true? Has anyone ever gotten anything back (atleast partially) after paying in full?
  11. Hey, what’s your sail date? I’m also doing this same ship and same itinerary. My dates are from May 12-23. Hopefully see you on board if our dates are same :). First time on Jade so other than saying Hi have no real input to offer!! I myself am curious about the ship too :)
  12. Looking for a place to stay pre and post cruise preferably less than $100-$130/night. As long as the hotel is clean and a safe area we don’t mind if it’s 3*. We are just looking for a place to crash as we’ll be out most of the day sightseeing. Any recommendations? Or am I being unreasonable? Preferred City Centre close to attractions but if not anything outside is ok as long as there is a shuttle/metro available. Right now I’m looking at Sheraton Roma Hotel and Conference but there’s a bit of travel to city Centre looks like. Opinions/recommendations welcome. Thanks.
  13. Update it’s me with a response from NCL- I talked to an agent about my sister getting off at a different port and her response was and I quote “We do not allow guests to get off with prior permission but we also will not stop them from getting off if they so wish”. Obviously she’ll have to pay the full cruise fare (or 3rd guest promo whatever applicable) as such but she’ll not be in violation of the Jones Act (whatever that is?) and/or PVSA! 🤷🏼‍♀️ I asked her if she could send me something in black and white regarding what we spoke about just now and she told me not unless we act on it and have her book the cruise. So there’s that then. But this is one agents response. My TA got a totally different response from NCL. Thoughts? Do we go ahead and book? 3rd guest comes upto $600 for her.
  14. Embarkation will be the same as when the cruise is supposed to start in Rome- but if things go well she wants to get off at Malta a week into a 12 day Cruise as that’s how long she’s able to get time off work. But my TA have said NCL are not allowing it. So I wanted to know if anyone else had any experience like this
