Cozumel pier has bicycle taxis from ship to land. They are no fee, but tips are requested.

I cannot answer your question regarding Carnival, but on every other cruise line I have been on I have had no problem using a rollator or a scooter down the hallway. Those cruise lines include Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, MSC, Norwegian, and Holland America. Although when the service carts are in the hallways, I sometimes have to request they be move to in front of the room being serviced.

Possibly having teens stay on a different floor?

After the guarantees are assigned, you may be able to find 2 cabins in the same category closer together. Royal will switch them for you. -
Nothing to do with being patriotic or not: 1. “Smoking/vaping is not permitted inside any stateroom and any stateroom balcony. If a guest is in violation of this stateroom policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to their SeaPass® account and may be subject to further actions*.” 2. “Guests may not leave items unattended on balconies, as the wind may cause items to fall overboard.” Just need 2 guests who don’t think the policies apply to them and then you have: The Star Princess fire in March 2006. Cigarette on one balcony, items left on another balcony=Destroyed 85 cabins, ended the cruise, and fatality https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna11975460

I am taking my PRIDE go go scooter to Europe for the first time this fall. Can anyone tell me what type of convertor I would need? I have a small one that I use on the ship for their European wall outlet but I don't know if that is correct. Anyone used one before?

Traveling with an Invisible Disability

A pool towel on bathroom floor would be an idea to assist you. Your cabin steward will be able to supply you as needed -
I've found that storing the scooter in the not-in-use shower area of the bathroom can free the cabin space. Cabin 10236 on MSC Seashore was the smallest hcp cabin I have ever been in!

Seashore currently: watch video in cabin, call the specified number, then report IN MASS to your assembly station. It's all fine up until everyone is stepping over everyone to get to their station, at which place they scan your card and you leave. Hopefully they will make the change to individual reporting soon.

YC back to back guest must do the turnaround as others. We are on our third week and YC guests are escorted off and back on just as all others as the ship has to be brought to a zero count between cruises. Of course,YC guests are escorted off and back on first.

A follow up to my earlier post. I did finish check in online up until the photo request. A few hours later, I received MSC email with our Eticket docs.

I'll give them til March 30 to get their on-line check in mess fixed because we sail on the 31st. I only have a computer to use to check in with, and I am not able to use the camera, so I guess we just show up at check in with no documents?

Be careful in recommending Celebrity. We are on Constellation for 30+ days right now and are extremely disappointed in the dining. Case in point, last night's dinner offering was Meatloaf and a vegetarian pot pie with only mushrooms and potatoes. We sail most of the cruise lines at least 100 or more days a year and find that Celebrity food at this point is no better than MSC or Royal-in fact their offerings are better than what we've found on Celebrity--such a decline, such a sad state of affairs!

There are way more scooters than the number of accessible rooms and the number of rental scooters seem to be growing every year. I bring my own and scooter but do not leave it in the hall. No matter the category of cabin, there is plenty of room to store it inside; I can always fit it through the cabin door so never need to leave it in the hall. (My scooter is the same kind that is the usual rental model so I know that there is no reason to not store it in the cabin.)

Wish I could find the Monin syrups; have tried everywhere but no luck. -
Thank you for response. It seems the website for ItCouldBeWorse.com is now for sale. I will keep googling though. Thanks again.

I had a very disappointing day in St Thomas today. I must use a scooter to get around-can't do without. Scooter easily breaks down to fit in a trunk so that is how I get around in a taxi to a beach or town. Unfortunately, there are no private taxis at Crown Bay. There are only the "truck buses" which are not accessible. We are returning to St Thomas for Christmas cruise and I have searched for any and all ways to get around other than ship excursions. Has anyone found an easy way to rent an auto or to get a car model taxi?

Royal cannot/does not require "proof" that the client needs the accessible cabin. They do require that the individual self-certify that they need the cabin for specific benefits available in an accessible cabin. As one who does need the accessible cabin, I know that I have to book very early because there are not a sufficient number of cabins available for all those who require them. Unavailability rarely is because an unscrupulous TA "snagged" them.

If you report to Medical with Noro symptoms, they will quarantine you for 3 days.

Daughter and husband booked a Casino Royal free cruise. DH is the one with the free cruise offering; however he may not be able to go; Daughter wants to know: if he can't go at the last minute, will she still be able to go?

Disappointed w/ Scootaround, Ft. Lauderdale
gadaboutgal replied to MrsP88's topic in Disabled Cruise Travel
If you received a scooter to use it was probably the standard Pride machine. The scooter has an adjustable knob on the front column to allow you to bring the controls closer to you or to push them farther forward if need be. It is too bad you didn't ask questions about the scooter when you were talking with the company or ask questions of any of the other multiple Pride users on the ship. I personally don't understand the preference of a wheelchair when the scooter is so much more maneuverable. JMO.
