  1. Problem with cruises? They always end too quickly! Thank you for your review Norris & Carol, glad you both seem to be feeling better too. Do you think you may try Azamara again? I really wanted to but not sure now since they left RCL group.
  2. Norris, have some chicken soup, plenty of rest so you can get back to feeling well and entertaining the masses with your GSJ. Take care, Yoshi
  3. Thank you for the review, sounds like all-in-all it was a good cruise experience. Glad you had some nice weather (except for the fog). Did you notice if they had any lectures like naturalists or interesting guest speakers?
  4. Thank you for your live review of Ponant Great Lakes/Canada Cruise. It looked wonderful, different than ocean voyages, more similar to European river cruises. We have done a couple of river cruises on AMA and they were also wonderful, in a quieter way than Celebrity. If you like to mix up the cruises now between ocean and river, AMA had the options of a hiking or biking tour included in addition to regular town sightseeing tours.
  5. Get Well Norris, we all hope you are out of the hospital and back home soon. Carol you take care too.
  6. so sorry the cruise has ended...looking forward to Panama Canal cruise which I'm sure will be outstanding!
  7. I'm sorry about the frustrating end to your trip but I am happy that you didn't get sick (I was a little worried that you may have gotten the Big C🤢)
  8. Hoping all is well with Trader Sam. Alaska is right around the corner...😄
  9. I can't wait to see the Alaska photos, maybe when Trader Sam gets back home 🙂 (keeping the thread near the top while they enjoy the rest of their cruise)
  10. Thank you micruiser2002, I cancelled and rebooked with the flash sale and saved $21. Every little bit helps out☺️
  11. Thank you for the heads up Rich Yak, I just cancelled and rebooked 2 excursions saving $176. Awesome! Yoshi 🙂
  12. Looks like there may be a different excursion with whale watching and salmon bake available. The "Alaskan seafood and game meat" may be fun to try, my guess if not salmon would be halibut or crab, although I imagine they have so much seafood variety up there. Not sure if the game would be venison or bear???
  13. we are generally Celebrity cruisers but I know for Princess, they allow you to purchase cases of water at a reasonable rate and it is delivered to your stateroom first day. I wish Celebrity would do that too.
  14. thank you, I know we probably can't go wrong in Juneau, just want to choose wisely 🙂 Happy travels to you!
  15. Was your salmon bake at the Orca Point Lodge. Was it a nice facility? Sorry about your whale watching experience, we were last in Juneau 17 years ago and had a good whale watching trip but no extras like the Orca Point Lodge meal and Mendenhall visit.
  16. Hi Jean, thank you for replying. Celebrity tours were offline when I tried to copy the description, the above snip is from Allen Marine who I assume does the tour independently. The Celebrity description also talked about seeing whales on the boat ride over and there is another option that includes a stop at Mendonhall Glacier. All of the Alaska tours seem so expensive so I want to make sure we are making a good choice.
  17. Hi All, not sure if it is ok to post this but I watched a You Tube video done by Josh and Rachael's Food and Travel called This is Why You Go to Alaska. It is 34 minutes long but if you don't want to watch the whole thing, go about 20 minutes into the show and they went to Tracy's on the way back to the ship. Looked yummy!
  18. Can I ask for any positive or negative reviews of a tour in Juneau that. along with some whale/wildlife viewing includes a stop at Orca Point Lodge for some local food? They have another option that includes the above with a stop at the glacier, sounds like a good mix of activities.
  19. ohhh, ick! sorry that happened to you & shame on the dog's owner for leaving a mess on the sidewalk. I am not sure if DH can make the step into and out of the tender boats so we may have to skip Santa Barbara on the CA Coastal cruise
  20. Thank you We_Like_To_Cruise! What a wonderful journey, so nice of you to take us along 😄
  21. I forgot to mention a few things about our cruise earlier this month, you can save some $ by booking some things in advance. We did the Hot Glass Class and made some beautiful glassware (vase and a flower) book in advance at onboard experiences and it is a good savings. We did the vineyard on a golf cart tour in Ensenada that was a nice day. Also bought some casino credits where you get 10% credit play if you book in advance. We were fortunate to get our cabins with the BCC so wanted to get a few extras on this cruise. Don't forget to stop by Cafe Bacio to check out the treats, they had some goodies like coconut macaroons (my favorite) and lemon tarts. The coffees and teas cost $ but the goodies are complimentary☺️
