I will be staying at the Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport, which is right at the airport so no shuttle needed. There is also a more expensive Villa Fontaine Premier there.

We just walked around and were able to talk to a couple of the residents.i don’t think they get a lot of tourists. When we got tired of walking, we took a pedicab (don’t remember if it was pulled by motorcycle or bicycle) back down to the port. Very interesting to see posted signs with arrows pointed uphill to evacuation areas, in case of tsunamis. When we were there in early ‘19 they were building new docks, so I hope they have cruises using them, if they are finished.

Has anyone ever been asked for this form? I never have been, but am using more than I used to, so am not sure how necessary it is.

You are right. I’m going on a cruise that starts in Asia and ends in Alaska, so just wasn’t thinking straight!

I found 4 others on CruiseCritic and shared a car into Rome. It made 3 stops, two couples and me, but I don’t remember how we ended up sharing the fare. You just have to check that you will get a vehicle that has room for 5 large suitcases.

The only time I have taken the HAL airport transfer was at FLL, and it was a big mistake. Very long wait for the bus to leave, and it turned out the taxi fare was not much more than HAL. I was solo, but if you are with 2 or more passengers, it is even a better deal.

If you prepay gratuities, have the HAL cruise protection plan, and have to cancel, would you get back the 80 or 90% of the gratuities you prepaid?
