Thank you all. I guess what I am trying to figure out is my comfort level on HAL, meaning familiarity of the process, and a known entity with the different itineraries and what appears to be a lower price and a change in Princess. I am pretty sure I am over thinking all of this😏

Wow thank you both, lots of good information. So if you book a mini suite with a package it looks as if you would get a lot of the same benefits minus things like laundry and it might be more cost efficient to do that, correct?

Thank you Oakridger. I guess I wasn’t too clear in my question. I am familiar with HALs suite perks unless something has recently been added, but wondered how they compared to Princess’s perks in a full suite. So if you have done both I would like your opinion.

Neptune suite

I have sailed HAL frequently and often in a suite. I am familiar with most of the benefits, but have not sailed since the pandemic. Have any new perks been added? I am currently considering a Princess cruise and wonder if anyone has done both cruise lines in a suite and can comment on the suite perks on that line? I have also posted on the Princess board but have yet to get a reply. I am a four star on HAL but have only been on one transatlantic cruise on Princess about ten years ago.

I am a four star mariner on HAL and am very familiar with their suite benefits. I have only been on one Princess cruise, a transatlantic, and not in a suite but am thinking of booking soon. Is a suite far superior to a mini suite on Princess and are there different perks between them? How would you rate the perks? How would you rate the difference between HAL and Princess suite perks?

Just curious, with the upgraded Wi-Fi are you able to make Wi-Fi calls from the ship? My pcc says you can even FaceTime?….

Live on Cape Cod and was wondering what is happening to those currently cruising New England coast.

Omg, pleeeeeease let’s not start this again! I agree with Kazu, there is a thread for this. I quit doing CC for a while because of all the negativity, snarky remarks, and entitlements expressed by both sides on this issue a few years ago. I am sure it has been asked and answered above. I read CC to plan my cruises, read about changes in HAL policies, and to live vicariously thru others cruise experience.

I really need a cruise! Is there someplace to go to find out about cruises in the next three or four months that are trying to fill up cabins?

I have looked at the 2024 sailing but it doesn’t look as if I can get the round trip in a catagory I want

HAL used have a cruise that was about 35 days that went to the UK and returned to either Boston or NY. I did this on Princess years ago and want to do it again does anyone remember this or know of a similar cruise itinerary out of NY or BOS with return to same? I cannot remember which name in the title was HAL and which was Princess.

Just curious cause we too have not cruised for the past three years, what if any are the changes that you have observed, both good and bad? Rainy damp and cold on Cape Cod.

We haven’t decided yet but considering Europe, possibly British isles….
