  1. Those are protesters pre-staging before they go outside to protest, where they will most likely continue to not socially distance. But, yes, its all the bars fault, not the 100's of thousand's who were protesting
  2. 40 out of 42. No cow tongue (although my wife says it good and threatens to get one from the store to cook) or pickled pigs feet...
  3. Dentist's are actively exposed to blood, spit, let alone the other things that are coming from your mouth when they are literally in your face/mouth to clean your teeth, etc. A general physician wears gloves when he pulls blood, but otherwise is not likely to come in other contact with bodily fluids unless the patient coughs, in which case, as noted above, when active symptoms of the flu are being shown, they will wear a mask. Similarly, a surgeon wears full gear when doing surgery. Again, its the level of potential exposure to "at risk" fluids.
  4. Generally speaking, corporations do not pay "taxes" on their "profit" because that "profit" is passed to the shareholders through stock dividends. The individual shareholders would then pay the "taxes" on those dividends. The government doesn't tax the same "profit" twice (but give them time I am sure). Corporations do pay a lot of taxes on the employer portion of income tax withholdings for FICA/FUTA, etc., taxes on real property, personal property, etc.
  5. I submitted mine for an October 2020 cruise at 11:28 this morning and received the automatic response by 11:35. We'll see how long it takes to process...
  6. I have not used my FCC, which expires 6/21/20. If they are still not sailing at that point, do you think they would extend it?
  7. Just saw this... WASHINGTON - White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said Friday the administration may propose "timely and targeted" federal interventions to help workers, firms and industries hurt by the coronavirus, as fears mount over the growing economic impact of the spreading outbreak in the U.S. White House officials are considering deferring taxes for industries hurt by the coronavirus outbreak, including the cruise, travel and airline industries, among other things, two people briefed on the discussions said. The talks remain fluid and preliminary. His comments were the most definitive a White House official had made so far about offering government assistance to companies that had been adversely impacted. For several weeks, White House officials had mostly minimized the economic impact of the outbreak and said it would be short-lived. Speaking on CNBC and Fox Business, Kudlow rejected suggestions of a larger stimulus package in part because he claimed that the virus is largely "contained" and the U.S. economy remains strong.

  9. If he is asking for a bench trial then his side knows a jury would probably look unfavorably upon the facts/actions and get caught up in the emotion of the situation. A judge would supposedly look past the emotion and simply apply the law to the facts/evidence presented.
  10. Not to hijack the thread, but if you re-book for a better rate or room upgrade, does that give you 14 days (a second chance) to get the "cancel for any reason" policy?
  11. When our son was 18 months old, he wore one of these on the cruise whenever we went out. Some of the looks we got were the "can you believe that... poor kid" looks, but he was safe... Many parents believe that a child leash… Looks similar to this: And they are right…. Because babies are just like dogs… Unpredictable… You don’t know what they are going to do next. To you they are the most precious thing in the world Poo and wee everywhere unless you train them You can’t understand a word they say They get excited by their own reflection.
  12. If Chick-Fik-A, they will definitely be back in port before Sunday... 😀
  13. This kind of reminds me of the Diamond Superior status as discussed in... https://boards.cruisecritic.com.au/topic/2470761-i-do-flaunt-my-campa-status/
