  1. I was hoping you'd reply njhorseman - you're a trusted source. Thank you. The year I got my passport was the year of my Dad's decline and passing and when I think of 2014, that's what I think of. Saves me a trip to get a new official birth certificate.
  2. Thank you, I read through it, but it doesn't say anything about how long a passport has to be valid.
  3. Hello All, I think I remember reading that either Norwegian, or maybe it was Bermuda, won't accept a passport that's about 3 weeks until its expiration. Is that true? Thank you for any help!
  4. Also check for the video of Pearl 10164 which I believe is the mirror of your cabin. You can see the two loungers on this video.
  5. Pearl and Gem are sister ships. If you look on youtube Gem 10664 a short video shows the balcony. Sometimes there are 2 loungers and sometimes one lounger and 2 chairs. You can get the loungers faced out to the wake if you don't mind 2 of the lounger legs in the little gully for water/rain that's under the glass/plexiglass. If you don't see the 2 loungers, your cabin steward or butler might be able to change out the chairs for you.
  6. We had that cabin last April on the Pearl to Bermuda. The loungers face the water. Balcony size for the aft suites on decks 9 and 10 is narrower and the loungers are placed foot to foot. I like the deck 10 aft suites because they're bigger than the Haven suite balconies. If you're looking for amazing, maybe the deck 9 or 10 owner's suites with 2 balconies and a full and half bath.
  7. Based on my experience on Gem 2 years ago and the Pearl last August, it is NOT the same as the posted Haven lunch menu. No lobster bisque or Cobb Salad that I see on the menus of ships with a dedicated Haven restaurant. Maybe a few other things different too.
  8. If you're in a suite, you'll meet the concierge somewhere and she/he will walk you off as a group with other suite and Haven people. You bypass the masses waiting to scan off the ship. Inside the terminal, you can use an elevator or escalator to the baggage claim area.
  9. We'll be sailing in a deck 10 aft suite on Gem. This deck of aft suites has a butler, concierge access, bkfst and lunch at Moderno/Cagney's, etc. Does anyone know if there is a room service charge for these suites if we order lunch? Thanks in advance.
  10. Hello All, Does anyone know a shoreside email or physical location address through which to do this? My husband never signed the receipt for itemized treatment and costs which was delivered as were were being escorted from our cabin. Looking at the itemization later, there are things listed that were not done in sickbay and others that would have offered no help for the "condition" he was diagnosed with. Thank you in advance.
  11. Unfortunately the fondue is gone. It was my absolute favorite.
  12. Spa services are priced much higher than on land, but the reason I no longer book massages is that employees always give you a hard sell on products. Having to say "no, thank you" 3 or 4 times just ruins the relaxation. I've had more than one very unpleasant interaction after spa services.
  13. Too bad about Coopers. Is there anything good on the street behind Front St?
  14. Coopers, although changed, still has some nice things and there's a cute gift shop next to the book store.
  15. Do a you tube search with the exact name of the rooms you are bidding on. You can find detailed videos quite professionally done. And if you carefully read descriptions on the ncl website, you can find out what amenities will be included in each category. Good Luck!
