  1. Certainly a subjective discussion. Just off Explorer...food (and service) consistently excellent. Dice in the casino subjective as well.
  2. Ya, we saw that as well...less than impressive.
  3. Choices are simple...book a different ship or skip shows you don't care for.
  4. Nice. We've noticed that Celebrity pax aren't as impressed w/ the nametags tho.
  5. Alright…I’ll bite, as I’m apparently missing the obvious. What’s with the ‘sticker’ on the original post/page 1 awarding badge of ‘great review’/submit…etc? Guess that explains part of the reason I receive time off from cc (occasionally deserved I will admit). Unreal….then again, maybe not.
  6. Summation of this thread: If I had been as concerned about my finances as those concerned about others' finances, I would have retired at 38 instead of 48.
  7. Wow....I don't focus on my own $$ as much as some obsess on others' $$.
  8. That’s funny. Rough guess? About the same percentage of adults who still believe in Santa.
  9. I have no dog in the fight, so I’ll say it….not everybody uses their hotel room like you (not to mention some cabin in the woods). Not sure why you feel the need to defend it….it’s ok for you, and that’s great. And what they do is ok w/ them, and that’s great. Pretty simple.
  10. Bingo. And they throw out these 'brags' right after complaining about the $1.50/day increase in gratuities. Posting the 2 opposing comments made by individuals would be interesting, but w/ the nark-on-your-neighbor program running rampant, truth just finds its way to a cc timeout.
  11. Different strokes for different folks. We did a cruise out of Seattle, and our ‘meaningful experience’ required far less than 8 hours. 31 available flavors for a reason.
  12. We personally aren't thrilled about going to once-a-day. But the way I see it, the cabin stewards are getting a 38% raise (if it's indeed 18 increased to 25 cabins), on 30% reduction in cleaning (25 cleanings once a day vs. 36 on twice a day). I imagine there's more to the puzzle (perhaps missing 2x daily interaction w/ people they enjoy/etc), but from a financial aspect, it's a no-brainer win for them.
  13. Ran this by my neighbor's son (he'll be entering high school in the fall). His advice: balance exposure to humidity with indoor/air-conditioned activity (yes, activity); limit your sugar intake; limit your sodium intake. I think he's on to something.
  14. Biggest mistake we ever made after a GS was to try the CL. We're ruined 😉
  15. I get that being in a suite gets you suite privileges. You stated that you use D+ for that benefit and thus why I provided the link.
  16. Unfortunately, discovered that his has already been implemented on some ships. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/12/12/royal-caribbean-removes-concierge-lounge-access-diamond-plus-members
  17. We’ve noticed it less crowded (and more enjoyable) on the past couple cruise in cafe promenade/etc hanging w/ the common folk. So many think that ‘status’ is such a big deal, it’s nice to be just treated as a typical human once in a while.
  18. Weigh the risk/reward. If the reward of getting checked-in early outweighs the slight chance that they're checking arrival times, the choice is easy.
  19. If going to ‘the mouse’ is less expensive/day, we either pay too much there or you pay too much to cruise.
  20. You did better than us. We're grateful for all we got at $40....glad we didn't listen to the 'gloom-and-doom'. Probably sell it this week, as the short-term objective was exceeded. The OBC is no longer applied when upgrading a comped cruise (understand why, but sure enjoyed the perk when it was in play), so no reason for us to be shareholders any longer.
  21. Just got off the Symphony last Saturday. We witnessed a handful of individuals wearing a mask (I believe that's what they're called) throughout the week.
  22. Once you get a couple cruises under your belt, you'll realize that that would be a great bet.
