Fair enough. And the point I was making (for our group of travelers doing B2B's) was being aware of the rules and policies for each particular sailing...not interested in historic requirements nor what the requirements could be on future sailings. Being aware of the requirements for a particular sailing has been found to be most beneficial to us (and yes, when testing is a requirement for a B2B, a level of risk is certainly added).
That may be true for you. We were well aware of the rules and policies for our B2B's, so that is not even close to a true statement for us (and many others).
Absolutely....it's a risky world anywhere testing is required. We choose to pass or play, according to the rules set forth. Certainly a good heads-up for anyone doing a B2B, particularly for those that don't know what's expected going in.
Got the sniffles, so got tested. And then expected a flight from Vancouver to Sydney on their dime. Would imagine the cruise lines response was appropriate.
Carnival’s chair policy may be worth admiring, but wouldn’t go much beyond that. Experts are putting their odds of filing for bankruptcy around 51-53%….careful what we wish for I guess.

Take it however you'd like...not how it was meant at all. Just a fact...people in your hall see you go in your room all day long - hope that's not discomforting.
I would thank the individual for letting me know they overheard my room number, be aware, and continue to realize I’m on a cruise ship, and it’s absolutely no big deal. People advertise their room numbers before they even go on the cruise (asking if anyone has stayed there, is it noisy, etc)…and again, no big deal.
I’m a vigilant individual, and this isn’t even on the radar screen.
Not worried about either of them...was just referring to Caribbean. Australia's rules are way beyond concern for the general cruiser, but certainly of concern if you're cruising there (or Greece)...again...small %.
And that's when the cruise lines offers to continue to visit the port under 2022 common-sense protocols, or replace it w/ another port that wants the business.
