I was offered to book yesterday, but was busy, so took a look today and it's reverted to 'coming soon'
That's for Iona in June
Anyone else having problems today?
I managed to book the Limelight for June on Iona. It remains to be seen if it gets cancelled but I understand from elsewhere that P&O are honouring those that managed to book. 🤞

I assume the act has been announced then?
Risky strategy if not, it could be @kalos playing the spoons😂
Andy
Yes, it’s Ray Quinn. Not the best, but certainly not the worst!
Think I’d prefer @kalos on the spoons to be honest.

Yes, I was also successful a short while ago - and payment went thru quickly (altho only wanted one evening in the Limelight).
I didn’t get an email (maybe cos booked thru a TA) and sailing early June.

Ditto. I suspect someone has made a big error releasing everything too early!

Sad to hear this news. A great Captain who always interacted with the passengers.

@indiana123 good luck today!
@Beckett poor Ted. Freddie suggests he dives into a something yucky then he might not be taken out again for a few days 🐶🤣.
Glad you feeling better tho Jane. The weather is looking more optimistic in the south for the next week or so, but I note it has now just started to drizzle…..
Have a good day everyone.

I hope its ok to post on here as you all seem so close, I have followed you all for months and longed to join in.
I fully empathise with your Sarah Graham as I had a similar relationship with my own parents. I was never good enough. 96% in exams, why didn't I get 100%.?
After my mum passed in 2007 only my dad had lost someone . . . I could write a book but I refuse to let it destroy or define me!!
I'm a young at heart 62 year old dog crazy, cruise lover and I really hope it's OK to join this thread?

I bought a new Yaris hybrid a few years ago, after having my old much-loved Jazz since 2006, but neither of us really enjoyed driving it, and so we sold it to a Yaris dealer for £1k more than we paid - I can't imagine that ever happening again!
So it was back to a Jazz, but I had to wait until last autumn for delivery because I wanted heated seats and a heated steering wheel and their current models at the start of the year didn't have the heated steering wheel, plus I expect it to be the last car I ever buy given than I am happy to drive an old car, so wanted it to be 'right'.
Much happier with a Jazz but we both like our comfy old Jazz, which we still own and has less than 50k miles on it. We also own a diesel Skoda Superb estate (which we use for long journeys) and a long-wheelbase VW van, which is DH's pride and joy (it's old but well cared for). It's essential for his hobby 😏. Fortunately, we are not short of parking space ...... but I know it doesn't make any sense owning 4 vehicles for 2 of us 😁
I drive a Jazz and also love it. I particularly like the magic rear seats that fold down to give a huge boot area (especially useful with a dog OR when going to the dump).
If I wanted to replace my current model like for like, I see it has gone up 10k since I bought my last one 5 years ago. 🙄- 5

Starting to feel like a giant at 5' 7". Used to be an inch and a half taller from the age of 12 until fairly recently. One advantage of being small is that you are shorter than all the boys! They do tend to prefer girls who don't tower over them. (Apart from Bernie Ecclestone and Rod Stewart of course).
Jane, lots of luck with the new diagnosis. It can probably just sit there for years without causing trouble - I have had one in the brain for 30 years which apparently has not grown; just made me completely deaf in that ear, which is how it got diagnosed.
I am also 5ft 7in….

Goo Morning Everyone
I hope you're all good and well. Lovely day here today - very bright and mild. I hope it's like this for you tomorrow @brian1.
Medical update from Smurf HQ: Saw GP this morning and aside from what we already knew ( (arthritis, opsteoporosis in spine), it turns out I have a large, but non- cancerous, tumour across Lumbar Spine L1 and L2. Referral to spinal surgeon next so he/she can assess the agression of the tumour. It may mean treatment (injections, surgery) or it might just be a watch and wait brief.
If I hadn't had the fall, I wouldn't have known. It was an "incidental finding". So, every cloud and all that!
I hope you all have a lovely day. Jane xx
Oh dear, but thank goodness it is benign. 😘

Good morning all.
Still very windy here, but not as bad as some parts of the country so I hope everyone is ok.
It'll be a blustery walk with Freddie this morning so will keep him on the lead.
@Beckett - I hope you are continuing to feel better and that Ted is looking after you by keeping his energy up with being given lots of treats and staying indoors 🤣🐶
@Purdey16 - have a lovely holiday and I’m not at all jealous of the blue skies!!

Thank you for that very interesting post @twotravellersLondon. I’d personally never heard of PEI, but I found it most informative.

@Beckett - so pleased you are starting to feel better and being able to wash your hair will make you feel SO much better.
I don’t think there’s anyone less “me me me” on this forum Jane, as you are one of the most sympathetic and empathetic posters with your kind words and good advice.
Take care.

Well, what a day I've had! Just got back from the hozzie (thanks Kalos - love that word) where I've been since midday.
Very long story short, I was out for a walk with Ted. It started to rain and I took a tumble down some steps which were very slippery. I landed firstly on my back then my head hit another step - out cold. Fortunately, a lady I know was also out walking and saw it happen. She called for an ambulance and when I came round I was very sick and dizzy. Ambo came quickly and they decided I should go in because I'd lost consciousness. The ambo drivers were so sweet and kind. They drove me home to drop Ted off with my neighbour then took me off to A&E.
OMG the A&E was rammed. I've had CT scans of back and head- nothing fractured thank goodness. Five stitches in my head and thumping headache later I was discharged at 10pm. A&E still rammed.
I've come home with a massive bandage around my head and my granddaughters, very unkindly I thought, said I looked like a Smurf!
I've had better days!!!
Sleep well everyone.
Jane xx
Oh goodness Jane, that sounds very nasty, but it can so easily happen. Thank goodness you are ok.
Im not usually awake at 3am, but couldn’t sleep (no reason) and so saw your post.
Please take it easy over the next few days- Ted won’t mind not having a walk - he will just want to be with you, as your accident will have scared him too.
Big hugs

Loving the write up Sue. I’ve stayed in the outside E deck cabins a few times and always found it a comfortable, quiet and stable cabin to be in.

I am just catching up on posts for the last week, we are on Princess and I have to say that it is not only P&O where things have changed and not for the better. The behaviour of some people leaves a lot to be desired, smart casual now means that it is OK wear a bikini top and shorts to dinner in the main restaurants and to let your children throw food at each other. We got out of a lift this morning when we saw a family of 4 push past a lady in a wheel chair and her partner to get in to the lift. We have said that we will not be sailing on Princess again after our next cruise which we have unfortunately already paid for so would lose over £5000. Carnival's current push to price low in order attract a rowdy heavy drinking sort of passenger is not for us.
I’m sorry to read that Josy. Where have good manners and respect for others gone!
I do hope you are managing to relax, despite your fellow travellers.

Happy Easter everyone!
I have not told Freddie that the clocks changed overnight, so we are still on “old time” as far as his stomach is concerned.
Yesterday was glorious here in Dorset (BTW @Purdey16 - I loved your photos) and I even sat in the garden, without a coat on, to have my morning coffee.

Lol, I suggest you Google the series for other opinions but 'charming, elegant and nostalgic' appear and do sum it up well. No violence but interesting story lines, a bit of whimsy and good characters.
On your recommendation I have just started on series one and have watched the first two episodes. I like it already. I’m not normally keen on subtitles, but I’ll persevere with this. Thanks!

After an extraordinarily wet and windy yesterday, it is better here today with the odd glimpse of sunshine. Lots of trees and branches down locally.
Everywhere is just so waterlogged - surely we will all escape hosepipe bans this summer?
Wishing all the CC family a great weekend.
