I think a ship would be easy to fumigate, you could get everyone off, lock it up and us an antiviral agent.
Staff can go in a few days later and wipe the ship clean. Soft furnishings would be taken care of that way.
We're booked for the 15th March and not worried of the disease just worried we may get stuck in quarantine.
I also think the most dangerous place for infection would be the queues before boarding when no one is screened and everyone is in a hurry to get on the ship.
I am worry. My parents (80 and 76) are coming with us along with my children on the March 15th sailing. A lot of people already cancelled as I can see the price of a mini suite is more than $1000 cheaper right now than I paid for inside cabin few months ago (And this cruise was sold out earlier). If I can get even 75% Future Ship Credit, I would have cancelled or rescheduled my sailing already.

If they are offering a 50% cruise credit and a refund for the March 15th cruise take it now.
My guess is they will be cancelling this cruise. I'm starting to wonder how many of the crew may be quarantined now , possibly with symptoms like fever, cough. It has been reported that 33 crew members on the ship in Hong Kong have symptoms of the virus.
They have not cancel the cruise yet. They just said if I cancel right now, I only get 50% FCC. No refund. Sounds like I am getting played by that Princess Cruises person. I would love to at least get 100% refund. I would cancel right away.

Yes
That's not what I got. I talked to Princess about our March 15th cruise also and I was told I don't get any refund. Just 50% FCC. I am very unhappy about this. Seems like they don't have a consistently policy on how to deal with this. Would like to know more people what they are offered by Princess Cruises.

PRINCESS SHIPS & CORONA VIRUS

I wish it will get cancelled. I am waiting for Princess to announce it for our March 15th sailing so we can get 100% credit to reschedule. Princess is only offering 50% credit at the moment. As much as the existing risk of the ship, I am just as concerned with having just one passenger/crew get on the ship with no symptom. All it needs is one air passenger get it on a flight, then pass it to a taxi driver. And I or someone get on this taxi right before the sailing. All these can happen within 14 days with no symptom. I am not trying to scare anyone. It is just not a good time to cruise. I wish Princess will let everyone with existing (Diamond Princess) booking to reschedule without penalty.
