Thanks All! Going to the kiosk right away. I've seen the stand by line last time and I don't want to be in it.

Thought all my shows were booked on the Allure a few months back. Discovered today they were sitting in my cart to "purchase". The comedy show wasn't available. Guessing it sold out while sitting in my cart? If that's the case, how easy is it to get in while not standing in line for an hr waiting to just see if we get a chance to get in? Loved it on the Oasis, and hoping we get a chance to see it again. :(

I basically asked the same question with no response. Were you happy with the transportation over and the amt of time there? Not shorted?
-
Thinking about taking the ships excursion to St John instead of taking a taxi to the ferry and then the ferry over. Docked on the Allure from 11-7. Read a few reviews that people weren't happy with the shorted time. Figuring it's the same cost to get there and avoid the taxi to the ferry and that saves time...but the ferry over is longer. Just wanted to get some feedback from anyone that's done it lately and thoughts?
We always do a private excursion and head over to St John, but wanted to go to Cinnamon Bay this time.
Thanks!

Have done Disney and Royal. Went on her sister ship the Oasis in the Fall and loved it so much, getting ready to go on the Allure as well. I think you will all love her and how much money you saved as well :D
Did you sign up for the shows? Nice if you can figure that out. So many people on board, but so spread out.
Great choice of deck 8! We had deck 6 and loved it!! (boardwalk) Easy access to places we spent much time at. This time we're also going to be on 8.
Heard good things about Giovanni's. We're also going there.
You will always find people to complain about something. No cruise is perfect. Some better than others though.
Enjoy!!

We never cruise less than 7 days.

There is no best ship. What one's fav maybe another's least fav. You can ask what ship each like and why. You can conclude what you like and want out of a ship. My fav is the Oasis class. Doesn't feel crowded even though it's one of the largest ship. So much to do and entertainment is outstanding!

We had deck 6, cabin 666...not a good number, but loved the location! Right by the elevator and easy access to many areas we went to. Didn't have same deck this time, but have 8 in the same area. We'll always stick with this spot if we can. I would suggest 6 or 8 in that area.

We are always in our taxi by 10 am to get to port. I'd rather wait at the terminal than the hotel. Always too excited that morning!
Enjoy your cruise! We went on the Oasis recently and loved it. Going on the Allure soon....have fun!

Hands down worth it!

You can just sit back and watch without getting involved? My dh has never forgiven me since we did the newlywed game 26 years ago!:D
He was very embarrassed and they played the show all over the ship, over and over on tv screens. Everyone knew who we were and the CD pointed us out at another show! So needless to say, if he can be embarrassed, he won't go. Just want to watch for the sidelines.

Which ship? Didn't think RFS had a hot tub.
Op said the Allure.

Been on many Carnival and many Royal. Haven't gone back to Carnival since cruising on Royal. A better itinerary on 2, but love the Oasis! Yes, more people, but they're also more spread out. Oasis feels less crowded to me. Entertainment is amazing on Oasis!
Can't go wrong with either Royal ships.

I have never been. I'm not a late night person. Why so late? I'm guessing not kid friendly? Worth staying up for?

I doubt anyone could go hungry on a cruise. Food everywhere!

You will get the same OBC of the 100 for next cruise promotion. We had to change dates. I just couldn't do the 5. Very beginning of our cruises, we started with the shorter cruises just to make sure we liked it. Never shorter than 7 for us now.

I think what folks mean is that they are useless when used as a tip on a cruise. Many countries don't think that they are real, thus they don't accept them, just as there are some countries that won't take a torn or badly worn bills of any denomination, because they don't believe they are good. They are fine in the United States to use, since they are our currency and our banks know that they are real.
Gotcha!

Not quite sure why people would say the 2.00 is useless in the US. Money is money. I worked for a bank and we a few tellers would usually have a few here and there. I always get them for tips (US) and they seem to appreciate... It's money!

OP here...just want to say thank you to everyone for your replies. You've definitely helped steer us towards the Oasis!
Good choice!

Hands down, the Oasis!! No comparisons. They will love it and so much to do for everyone!! We're getting ready to go on her sister ship the Allure in a few months. Enjoy!!!

I think most people know that alligators are in Fl waters. Can't assume that all know. I would also expect and hope that if they had signs posted about the warnings of alligators, that may have deterred that parent from allowing his son to wade in the waters. No swimming doesn't mean no wading. If other hotels had the correct signs, then why didn't they? I feel the resort is responsible and will pay for it, literally. Unfortunately, no amount of money will bring their precious son back. Very sad for any parent to go through!!
Bummed....Comedy show sold out...thought was booked
