  1. Thought all my shows were booked on the Allure a few months back. Discovered today they were sitting in my cart to "purchase". The comedy show wasn't available. Guessing it sold out while sitting in my cart? If that's the case, how easy is it to get in while not standing in line for an hr waiting to just see if we get a chance to get in? Loved it on the Oasis, and hoping we get a chance to see it again. :(

  2. Thinking about taking the ships excursion to St John instead of taking a taxi to the ferry and then the ferry over. Docked on the Allure from 11-7. Read a few reviews that people weren't happy with the shorted time. Figuring it's the same cost to get there and avoid the taxi to the ferry and that saves time...but the ferry over is longer. Just wanted to get some feedback from anyone that's done it lately and thoughts?

We always do a private excursion and head over to St John, but wanted to go to Cinnamon Bay this time.

    Thanks!

  3. Have done Disney and Royal. Went on her sister ship the Oasis in the Fall and loved it so much, getting ready to go on the Allure as well. I think you will all love her and how much money you saved as well :D

Did you sign up for the shows? Nice if you can figure that out. So many people on board, but so spread out.

Great choice of deck 8! We had deck 6 and loved it!! (boardwalk) Easy access to places we spent much time at. This time we're also going to be on 8.

Heard good things about Giovanni's. We're also going there.

You will always find people to complain about something. No cruise is perfect. Some better than others though.

    Enjoy!!

  4. There is no best ship. What one's fav maybe another's least fav. You can ask what ship each like and why. You can conclude what you like and want out of a ship. My fav is the Oasis class. Doesn't feel crowded even though it's one of the largest ship. So much to do and entertainment is outstanding!

  5. We had deck 6, cabin 666...not a good number, but loved the location! Right by the elevator and easy access to many areas we went to. Didn't have same deck this time, but have 8 in the same area. We'll always stick with this spot if we can. I would suggest 6 or 8 in that area.

  6. You can just sit back and watch without getting involved? My dh has never forgiven me since we did the newlywed game 26 years ago!:D

He was very embarrassed and they played the show all over the ship, over and over on tv screens. Everyone knew who we were and the CD pointed us out at another show! So needless to say, if he can be embarrassed, he won't go. Just want to watch for the sidelines.

  7. I think what folks mean is that they are useless when used as a tip on a cruise. Many countries don't think that they are real, thus they don't accept them, just as there are some countries that won't take a torn or badly worn bills of any denomination, because they don't believe they are good. They are fine in the United States to use, since they are our currency and our banks know that they are real.

    Gotcha!

  8. I think most people know that alligators are in Fl waters. Can't assume that all know. I would also expect and hope that if they had signs posted about the warnings of alligators, that may have deterred that parent from allowing his son to wade in the waters. No swimming doesn't mean no wading. If other hotels had the correct signs, then why didn't they? I feel the resort is responsible and will pay for it, literally. Unfortunately, no amount of money will bring their precious son back. Very sad for any parent to go through!!
