  1. The email was sent directly from Regent to us. I did find the below on Regent's website which makes me think it is, as pingpong1 said, fairly standard and it is just about 30 days prior to sailing. Subject to local requirements, all guests are welcome with no tests required, regardless of vaccination status. Specific requirements, if applicable, will be sent to all guests approximately 30 days prior to sailing. For sailings outside of 30 days, as the entry requirements by country continue to evolve, we encourage all guests to consult with local government websites to determine any additional requirements that may be required to travel. As far as the Splendor cruise that recently disembarked in Tarragona: I had been watching that for at least 2, probably 3 months and it was always listed as Tarragona on the website.
  2. Thanks pingpong1. We were on Viking Ocean last November and up until a couple of weeks before we left they required documentation of vaccination, pre-cruise testing and daily (!) testing. We were glad they stopped the testing requirements by the time we boarded although we were prepared for it so we'll just roll with whatever the requirements are next month with Regent but we hope it's the same as it is now. We received Johnson and Johnson initially, then Pfizer for 4 boosters and just had the new Moderna about 3 weeks ago as well as flu and RSV.
  3. That's how I felt---UGH. Did you not get the same type email? Regarding Barcelona the documents I received with the luggage tag state Port of Barcelona with terminal TBD. However, from what Regent told us in the past that this can change at the Port's discretion. We remain hopeful that it will be Barcelona and not Tarragona.
  4. Hello--we are boarding Splendor November 20. Received luggage tags and some other info yesterday. Today we received an email regarding Covid Health/Safety, masks/testing not required but recommended, etc. Have they been automatically sending these out 4-5 weeks prior to embarkation or is this something new? Thanks.
  5. The Regent rep told us we have to be onboard no later than 2 hours before departure.
  6. Thanks RELS. Yes, Concierge does have 2 bathroom sinks.
  7. Golfwife1---we are on Splendor in Concierge next month. Could you please confirm the shampoo is still in small bottles and not in a dispenser container on the wall of the shower and that the soap is in small bars? Thanks.
  8. I believe excursion bookings open 1 yr before the cruise. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. So....people who book early typically act fast. Wait listing is sometimes available however on a Baltic cruise in 2019 we wait listed an excursion and it never opened. We're wait listed on an excursion on a transatlantic in November so we'll see if we're lucky this time.
  9. Although our upcoming cruise is on Splendor, when we booked the agent told us the laundrettes are open but getting very little use due to the included laundry service. Our last Regent cruise was on Explorer pre-covid and pre included laundry and it was not always easy to use them when it was convenient for us.
  10. Agree with Pan Pacific. When we were there a harbor view room, breakfast and luggage transfer was included. We handed off our bags to a bellman (who adamantly refused to accept a tip) when we were ready to check out then we didn't see the bags again until we were on the ship.
  11. We're considering using Luggage Forward for a November cruise. We've never shipped luggage before. The online form wants a local phone number at the destination. I'll probably call tomorrow but am wondering---would that be the number for the ship? There is a number on our preliminary cruise summary from Regent for contacting a passenger on board. Thanks.
  12. pingpong1---how would I do this in San Juan? Sorry---not trying to highjack this thread.
  13. Somewhat off topic but we are on Splendor in November--Barcelona to Miami. We're US citizens so I assume we'll have to go through customs when we arrive in Miami?
  14. Agree about not using one for the wrist. We have an Omron that's accurate.
  15. Sorry, of course the specific ship makes a difference. We'll be on Splendor. We'll have a couple of adapters although we didn't need them on Explorer, but the CPAP wasn't an issue then as it hadn't yet been prescribed. Thanks.
  16. Hello---does anyone know if the night table by the bed will hold a CPAP machine that's about 10 inches long x 6 inches wide? We'll bring an extension cord without a surge protector if necessary but would prefer not to if possible. Thanks.
  17. At the free wine tasting early in the cruise are there containers to spit the wine out after tasting? This is of particular interest since I really don't care to drink in the morning but I would like to taste the options. Thanks.
  18. Am I misunderstanding when nights onboard are awarded? It was my impression that if you were going to "bump" up to a new level while onboard it would happen at embarkation. The below is from the Member Guide section of the program on Regent's website. "Seven Seas Society® Membership is automatically awarded on completion of your first voyage with Regent Seven Seas Cruises®. First-time guests sailing 21 nights or more receive instant recognition at the Silver level. For all other Seven Seas Society® members, if the number of nights you are sailing during your cruise elevates you to the next tier of rewards, enjoy instant recognition at the higher tier from the moment you board."
