I think we're on the same cruise in a couple of weeks. What's your favourite flavour? I can see if our local market has it (too late to order from the shop).
Last May-June was our first Oceania cruise after having done Celebrity and Holland America also - we now have two more Oceania booked and won't go back to the others!
Well…we have loved going on cruises as well as land travel for 20 years or so. My husband now has some mobility issues, so a cruise is a lovely way for us to get away. We’ll be on Riviera in March. Then in July we’ll be on Marina with our daughter (40s) and our 15 year old granddaughter, so I guess we’ll span the ages!
We’re on this cruise also-there is a roll call running, so you can check there about the meet and greet (14th at 5:30 pm in Horizons). Sorry you’ve run into rudeness. We’re older and Canadian-we prefer eating alone as we’re tired of defending Canadian values!
Not knowing what kind of shower we'll be getting when travelling, we always bring a couple of portable suction cup grab bars. We've found them at Home Hardware and also at Amazon - my husband (who has mobility issues) and I (who don't, but want to feel secure!) have been using these for about ten years now on various cruises and land tours throughout North America and Europe. They work really well on most surfaces.
We were on the Marina in early June, and we docked in Bordeaux - beautiful sail up the river and beautiful view from the ship. Fortunately, it was easy to walk around from the ship.
We were in a penthouse on Marina last May, and our butler was wonderful. He delivered canapes, helped with dinner reservations, and helped with other matters also.
We book cruise only also, and our TA knows this from the beginning. We were so pleased that he got us the free gratuities yesterday on our already-booked March cruise
Question - does anyone know if the sale (which seems to me to be only gratuities) is available to those of us who book cruise only? We were fortunate to book during the Memorial Day Sale (and also we were on board), and it was an upgrade which served us well, even though we booked cruise only.
Yesterday an Oceania rep told our TA that there were no Black Friday perks - we're thinking of booking a March cruise that's on the list and has lots of availability. Does anyone have any further information? Thanks.
Great advice-thanks! The cruise this past May was our first Oceania (have done HAL, Celebrity, Cunard) and we loved it. We were so happy to get some benefits from the onboard booking and the sale.
For the Memorial Day sale, we got an upgrade for our booking but not the $200 on-board discount (but did receive 100 OBC).We booked for our daughter and received the $200 pp on-board discount and also the 100 pp OBC. It was complicated (especially since we're from Canada). It took some time for communication between the onboard rep and office and with our own TA in Toronto, but it was worth it.
Thanks - when will we see it on the Oceania site?
Do you know if it will be an upgrade sale? We booked a July Marina cruise last year during the Memorial Day Sale.
