We were just on in 3608, and wouldn’t hesitate to book this cabin again.   We did hear some noise as they moved chairs around on the deck to clean, early each morning.

It wasn’t an issue for us, because we are usually up by 5 am, but if you like to sleep in, then this may wake you.

    Thank you!

Has anyone stayed on deck 2 midship on the Independence? Is it true it is very loud due to the waves. I was thinking of moving to deck 3 but deck 4 has a lot of bars, so wouldn't it be just as loud? I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I've never been on the Freedom class ships. Thank you for your help!!

    Thank you!

  4. Hi! I’m thinking of changing my cabin from an interior to either a boardwalk view or promenade view. I didn’t even know there were a couple of cabins available on deck 7 to view the boardwalk until a friend told me.  Is there a lot of movement on the boardwalk? I would prefer an outside view on the boardwalk, but nervous about seasickness. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks!

We live in New England and always try to cruise in January or February to The Caribbean. Love it.

Less kids onboard unless vacation time.

    Water is warm at beaches.

It’s a great way to get through the winter. The prices are generally good then. Early December are very reasonable.

Thank you! I was wondering if the water would be warm enough!

  6. Hi! I was thinking of moving my cruise from April to January because it’s $1500 cheaper.  Is January a good time to cruise in the Caribbean? Is it worth the extra money to cruise in April? We would be switching from a Western to an Eastern Caribbean cruise. Thanks for your opinion!

An 18 year old for everything except drinking is considered an adult so, at the very least, every venue is available to your 18yo.

On the Escape this past July, we had my daughter (18) and her 2 cousins (19 & 22) and they had a blast.

They would dine with my wife and I and go with us to most of the entertainment and then when we would go off to bed, they'd go to 1 of the dance parties and have fun. Of course the night always ended with food at O'Sheehans.

During the day they had fun too. Ropes course, water slide, Spice H2O, etc.

If your 18 yo is alone, then making a friend or 2 would be helpful.

It'll be great. Don't sweat it. The Escape is a great ship!

Great! I actually have triplets, so it seems like they will have a good time!

  8. Hi! This may seem like a ridiculous question, but what things can an 18 year old do at night on the ship? We are going on the Encore, but after doing some reading, I’m seeing that there really isn’t anything for kids that age to do on NCL. Is this true? Just curious what time do the pools close? Do they show any movies on deck? Thanks!

I'd definitely choose Bermuda too on the Encore.

I'm doing Eastern Carib on the Encore, Jan. 2020 and I've done the Bermuda 7 day cruise several times, including this past July on the Escape.

As everyones said, Bermuda is beautiful and safe.

My family is filled with beach bums and Bermuda has some of our favorite beaches so we all love it and don't mind going 3 days in a row. There are many other things to do too so it's good for almost anyone.

It'll be great whichever you choose.

    Great thanks!

What are the other ports on the Bliss? I have been to Bermuda many times and it is a safe beautiful place. There is

lots to fill up those 2 days. You might be switching more ports for a lesser experience.

The Bliss is going to Orlando, Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau.

  11. Hi! I am looking at booking a cruise to celebrate my triplet daughters’ high school graduation.  I really would like to go on the Encore, but it docks 2 days in Bermuda and I’m not sure how great that would be. The Bliss seems to be a little more for the week I’m looking at, but it goes to a few different ports. Has anyone ever done a cruise to Bermuda for a few days? Is it worth it? Looking for opinions of what we should do? This will be my family’s first cruise. Thanks!

This is only if you stand right up at the rail, and press yourself to the farthest rear of the balcony so that the slide is no longer in view, and hold your camera out extended so that the slide is not in view in the camera lens. The author of this photo should also post a photo being seated on the balcony, as well as a photo at the farthest back of the balcony (only abut 6 feet back) and then you'll see what it looks like.

I was actually wondering if they were sitting when that picture was taken. Thanks for letting me know!

Deck 11 (5th from the back). It was SO loud pretty much every night until 1am. They showed movies until then or the fine line. However I think our balcony door had issues sealing - maintenance came a couple times to fix it. We could hear wind whistling until their 2nd visit. But even after the fix we could hear all the shows like the speakers were in our room. Our Central Park balcony on the Allure last year was super quiet. Good choice to go that route.

Thanks! That’s not a great view and I want to sleep! Lol!
