Yes the "tubes" of the slides block most of the stage and yes some nights it gets Very loud.. just got off Sunday with a Boardwalk room
Thank you! Hope you had a great time on your cruise!

Hi! Does the slide on the Harmony block the view for the aqua shows if you stay in the last few cabins in a Boardwalk Balcony? How late do the movies and shows go on at night? Is it too loud in these rooms? Is it worth a little extra to get one of these cabins?

Can you buy the coffee card ahead of time or do you have to wait to purchase it on the ship?

We are not getting a passport for our upcoming cruise. We are a family of 5. I know the risks, but we never travel out of the country. This will be our first cruise, so if we like it and plan on going on more cruises, then we'll get one. I didn't want to spend $750 if we were not going to need them again.

Yes, I did too.

We were also deck 10! I thought the view was great. Low enough that it was good for people watching and for hearing music at night if they had it. Nothing blocking the view.
I don’t have any pictures of the view unfortunately but there should be some YouTube videos that will show it.
I think you’ll really like it!
Great! Thank you so much! I'm done worrying!

We've done Central Park balconies three times. It's my wife's favorite because she loves being able to people-watch and listen to the live music at night.
We haven't noticed any significant temperature difference between CP balconies and ocean-view balconies

Thank you! I've seen so many negative reviews and now I'm starting to relax a bit about my choice.

I had the same worries after researching!
We did Central Park balconies last July and I didn’t find the balconies to be too hot. You definitely don’t get the breeze you’d get on the outside balconies but it’s still comfortable. Central Park just has a really nice ambiance and I found it very relaxing.
They were able to take out the divider between our balconies which was nice! If it’s something you’d want you can ask your cabin attendant to see if it’s a possibility.
Thank you! I feel so much better that I heard from someone that stayed in Central Park in July! We have adjoining cabins too on deck 10. I wanted Deck 11 but they weren't available. What deck were you on? I'm hoping the glass fixtures don't block my view. I need to people watch at least a little bit! Lol!

Has anyone done way too much research before their first cruise? I'm constantly looking things up and reading reviews and now I'm unsure about the cabins I chose for my family. I booked 2 adjoining cabins in Central Park bc it fit our budget, and I've read a bunch of reviews saying don't stay there in the summer bc the balconies are way too hot. We are going the first week in July, and I'm only planning on sitting on the balcony early in the morning to drink my coffee and at night before bed to wind down. We don't plan on being in our room at all during the day. Will I regret it?

I think it is b/c it is so far out and also b/c SMX went through so much with the hurricane they maybe don't know what all will be available by that time. Give it some time and keep checking
Thanks!

Hi! I'm going on the Allure, but not until June 2019. Since I'm so far out is it normal for only some of my shore excursions to be showing? It looks like all the excursions for San Juan and one for Labadee is there, but nothing for St. Martin. Does this seem right?

No you do not need a passport.

Just give RCI a call, go thru to the area that books activities etc.. Just advise that you would like to buy some OBC, anything used can be cashed out at the end of your cruise or refunded back to your card.
Cheers
Steve
Thanks so much, Steve!

How do you add OBC to your account before your cruise? I'm a 1st time cruiser trying to figure all this stuff out!

So glad I found this post! I've been back and forth about getting just the passport card for my family of 5. We never go out of the country and this is our first cruise. If we like cruising then I'll spend the extra money, but right now I think the passport card makes more sense financially for us.

Hi! I'm a first time cruiser, so this might seem like a stupid question but is there really a difference between deck 10 to deck 12 when it comes to feeling the sway of the ship? I like the cabin location available on deck 12 better than 10 because it's more central, looking over Central Park. TIA.

Agent told me today that it was for Oasis/Quantum sailings in a JS or above, booked by Jan 31 and sailing by some date this year. ( did not get the date) Not sure if it was for all sailings.
Can't hurt to call and ask.
M
Thanks! I will!

You're welcome.
Check out the Royal App for smartphones. It does not have texting now, but I expect that to be added at some point.
Great! I will! You are such a huge help! Have you been on all the Royal Caribbean ships?

The iPhones are no longer available to rent. That experiment didn't go over very well.
Thanks you!

Hi! I just saw on another site that you might be able to rent an iPhone onboard to text family members. I tried to research this but the posts went back to 2012 and wasn't sure if this information is correct. If you can rent them, where on the ship do you rent them?

When was this promotion offered? I booked a couple of weeks ago and that was never mentioned to me. Is it just for certain sailings? I'm not sailing until June 2019 so maybe it didn't apply to my cruise.

Yes, I made reservations for Central Park too, and I was told these were included.

in Royal Caribbean International

I booked our cruise for April 2021 already. I would book now so you have a good choice of the cabins.
