Thank you. Today was absolutely picture perfect. Forecast says rain for Bergen, so we are very lucky.

It continues…. I want to add that Alesund and Geiranger have been the highlight of the trip, but with the late evening in alesund and early arrival today, it takes some endurance. I am really glad we went from Reykjavik to Southampton as the scenery keeps getting more majestic.

Geiranger, Norway- There are no need for words. Perfect weather today. One of the best days of my life. I have a million photos. We did the Eagle Road / Dalsnibba Skywals through venture ashore. Fantastic guide. Highly recommend.

Hit the thermal spa and Indulge for dinner. It was very packed again, even with the ship being in port. Not sure what they can do, but I hope more seating is going into future plans. Catching the sun set in Alesund… superb!

couldn’t agree more. There was an incident at the local where the waiter thought we ordered two burgers instead of three . After asking about the third burger he told us we only ordered two and then we asked for another one and he proceeded to bring us two again.

Bummer!

We are on day 5 of our 10 day cruise and was hoping for the special. Have not seen one yet. I will be a gold member in a day or two and may take advantage of the 50% off.

Made it to Alesund! This had been a dream stop of mine for many years. we had breakfast at the indulge food hall. Smart choice. Barely any crowds. We docked and climbed Aksla. Wear comfy shoes and be prepared to warm up as you climb. This place is heaven!

Tonight was the Donna Summer show at 6:30 pm for us. I’m not big on disco, but obviously recognized most of the songs. The choreography and singing were so good! The storyline had me dozing off a few times. It lasted until almost 8pm. This theater beats any NCL ship! we then had dinner in Ondo with friends. I had the calzone which was good, followed by the short rib raviolis and carrots. Both were superb!! I make pasta at home and this had mine beat! Headed back and went out on the patio to see the sun fading in the distance at 10:35pm. So nice! Cannot wait for Alesund. Hope the weather is nice.

You read my mind. I’m on the prima and asked about doing that and she said no. Bummer. Now which is the better value? CN or CF?

Saw a peak of the vibe beach club during our sea day 😂 outdoor areas are closed due to weather. We had to rebook the go karts. Indulge food hall was so packed for lunch. Make sure to bring your patience. Some older guy had a menu and didn’t want to order off the iPads and literally screamed for a manager. The gym was crowded, but not as bad as I expected. the observation lounge is completely packed. I’m writing from there and every seat is full. I miss the OL from the Bliss. it may be the weather, but no signs of any whales

@Let Me Travel! I cannot speak for the beverage package as I don’t drink alcohol, but my friends have the regular package with no issue. Can’t really help with the premium package. We stayed at the Hotel Borg in Iceland, which is in a great location. It is about 2 miles from where you dock, so a taxi will be required. The city is much less intimidating or sprawling than I had anticipated. We booked tours through venture ashore and nice tours. Highly recommend. We had someone tell us they booked through the cruise line and the prices they charged really left him a little bitter because it is about three times as much. In Akeuyri, the busses are right off the ship. Book privately. Enjoying the research and anticipation.

It’s all subjective as said before. As a loyal NCL cruiser and currently on the prima, I am debating whether to purchase a cruise next certificate or try Celebrity. NCL specialty dining is a win and leaves me quite pleased, but really want something that leaves me satisfied in the buffet and main dining rooms.

we used them for the Golden Circle tour this past Wednesday and had the best time. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Yes! Apparently the wind helps. I had no clue. We got (un)lucky with a sunny, gorgeous day.

Did Hasuki (teppanyaki) tonight for dinner. So full! We had a great time. There was a couple from Colorado sitting next to us. One was celebrating his 84th and they were so enjoyable to chat and eat with. We stepped into the theater for the 70’s disco theme. It was only 45 minutes and I lasted about 6 before I said, “can we go?” Not a dancer in the slightest, nor a fan of 70’s disco. I will say, I didn’t believe it when reading reviews, but it is so cool how the theater turns into a night club. Simple touches like the entrance to get in. Well done! Can’t wait for the Donna summer show there tomorrow.

@skatie, our guide was saying the beginning of the season and end of the season being a lot of these bugs.I definitely would recommend bug spray and a hoodie. At least the bugs won’t be flying in your ears and hair. If you can, stop at the gift shop first and buy the netting they have for Dimmuborgir. Both sights are worth seeing. Not as good as the Reykjavik area tours, but don’t miss it. The water in the falls is beautiful.
