  2. Check out the Alaska forum. Lots of great info on things to see and do. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/33-alaska/
  3. I wonder what screen name the woman with the gun uses here on CC.
  4. From CNN.com: The union agreed to extend the contract it had with the United States Maritime Alliance, the management group known as USMX. That deal, which had expired at the end of Monday, will be now extended until January 15 and have the union members back on the job while the final details are worked out in a full agreement that will need to be ratified by the rank-and-file
  5. There wasn't enough threads about this new program already?

  7. A better place to ask this is in the CC Help Forum located here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/859-need-help-using-the-forums-check-here/
  8. Are you planning to discuss this with on board management? Let us know what they say when you do.
  9. You'll have to provide more details than that if you would like assistance.
  10. Have you checked on the Roll Calls for those sailings? You might find helpful info in those postings.
  11. You'll find this forum helpful for all things Hawaii: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/37-hawaii/
  12. From a similar thread on the "Ask A Cruise Question" forum by poster "Bill Miller". "I spoke to a Longshoreman foreman yesterday at the Port of Tampa. The Longshoreman's Union has an agreement in place with the cruise lines. Cruise lines will not be part of the impending work stoppage action. So your cruises are safe."
  13. Yea, that's the Passport Card. Perhaps that person misspoke when they used the term "passbook".
  14. Chances are if it's in your luggage it won't be an issue. But for those of us who have been around awhile we know there are some port workers who are real idiots. For a person like me who treasures small things like that that you have had for a lifetime I recommend you leave it at home. You can go for a whole week without doing "MacGyver" stuff on the ship. 🙂
  15. Google "shipping luggage overseas". You'll get many helpful links.
  16. Welcome to the forum. While you are waiting for answers here you may want to also ask/research on the Spain/Portugal port of call forum. Here is the link for you: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/465-spain-and-portugal-ports/
  17. If servers acted like that towards me it would pretty much ensure the extra tips I give out would be staying in my wallet. I can play the irritated game also but there should be no need for that.
  18. Couldn't care less what Carnival allocates per meal. Irrelevant. I look at my total costs for the cruise and I have expectations for service and quality food based on that total. I have no problem spending $15 at the local diner for fast , friendly service, real menus and quality food (every single time).
  19. Chances are slim and none and slim has already debarked the ship. 😉
  20. With my eyes if I had to read the menu on my flip phone I might starve for seven days. 😉
  21. Ah, gotcha. lol Sorry, I'm medicated today and couldn't decipher it. 🙂
  22. What does that last sentence mean? Thanks.
