  1. Order whatever you like and you'll get a $0 bill at the end. Personally, I leave a tip in cash, not added onto the bill.
  2. Sushi on Five is included. FYI, they also do takeout. You can order through your butler to have it brought to your cabin for a late afternoon snack. Drinking wine and eating sushi on your RS balcony while watching the world go by is a nice treat.
  3. No, I think I interpreted your comment correctly given your IF/THEN explanation.
  4. Out of curiosity, what ship/itinerary has such a late boarding time?
  5. You represent a tiny fraction of the overall cruiser because you frequent cruise critic. The overwhelming majority of cruisers have no idea that this could happen.
  6. Clearly, Celebrity is doing the right thing (for them) not informing guests in advance.
  7. I've never been to Cozumel, but I've read good things about Nachi Cocum beach club.
  8. I feel like I've always gotten an email with a link to an online form to fill out with preferences. Here's part of a confirmation email I've gotten after filling out the form before my last Celebrity cruise:
  9. Most if not all of your comments in this thread would indicate otherwise.
  10. Well that would be the dealbreaker as it's a private auction for Park West guests only.
  11. There are many alternative lounges on Eclipse. The fact that it's the forward-facing one makes it particularly annoying to people and deserving of complaints. I get that. But by no means have anyone's rights been infringed upon, which is what some are suggesting. Celebrity can and often does close venues for private events. Sail on their ships or don't sail on their ships. It's entirely up to you. If enough people don't, and cite this as a reason, the behavior will change.
  12. If you're saying that it's like a resort that has 5 or 6 different pools closing one of them for a private event, then yes, it is the same concept. Guests will be annoyed, but they have alternative pools to swim in.
  13. Agreed 100% I've not sailed on S-class. Is there another venue (probably requiring a bar) that can comfortably hold 100+ guests and all the art on display for multiple hours per day? ...but good for top line revenue. Same as raising prices. It's a balancing act. Businesses weigh these decisions all the time.
  14. Your first step is to decide what it is that you want to ask for. What is it that you think you deserve besides the refund and future cruise credit you already received? What else do you feel should be reimbursed? Only then can you determine your next steps.
  15. And you're smart enough to know that my disagreement wasn't about semantics. You left out the remainder of my comment in what you quoted which was my main point. Passengers have no "right to expect" access to all venues on the ship. Celebrity can and will sell access to whatever they want.
  16. Nope not me. You must have me confused with someone else.
  17. That would be a shocking development for Retreat and Zenith guests.
  18. This is really nothing new. On many ships, Celebrity has taken away front facing top decks for Retreat Sundecks, Michael's Club for the Retreat Lounge, and a portion of the MDR for Luminae. They've added more staterooms in what used to be common areas. In another thread, Celebrity has taken away access to the Sky Lounge for Park West. This is the trademark of mass market cruise lines. This is Celebrity. They will chase extra revenue wherever they can.
  19. I disagree. There are no public areas on a Celebrity cruise ship. The entire ship is privately owned. Celebrity can do whatever they want with any venue at the risk of losing customers. It's all about risk/reward to them.
  20. On all E class ships like Ascent, all concierge and aqua class cabins are infinite verandas—no balconies.
  21. @DaKahuna safe travels home and thanks for taking us along.
