I am not a frequent uber user so I’m pretty green at this. There will be four adults with four pieces of luggage plus carry-ons. What size of uber vehicle would you recommend we order to get from the hotel to the port in Fort Lauderdale?

I’m sorry you are having such problems. I don’t use the AC app and go through my desktop when booking seats and haven’t run into this problem on the desktop. Very strange.

We usually fly Air Canada through easy air. Unless you are willing to pay for choosing your seats, you are going to have to wait for that 24 hour window before your flight to choose your seats. You have to log into the Air Canada website with your flight confirmation number to book seats.

I thought I’d reach out to Jiffy Jeff for our needs in October. There are only two of us and I was quoted $197 from Miami Airport to a hotel on las Olas in Ft Lauderdale. Uber looks like it is our best bet. Train would be ideal but my Mom is 83 and would be too much with luggage.

Actually, it was in Oct 2022, not too long ago. We’ve never had problems when we’ve flown in the day before. Either they’ve ordered a cab for us or waited Curbside for hotel shuttle. Maybe it was just a one off but just that once didn’t leave a good feeling, ya know.

We did not have a good experience the last time we used transfer from LAX. We arrived about 11:30 and passengers with transfers were already waiting in our terminal. They waited until 1 passenger who wasn’t arriving until 2:30 to call the bus. If I recall correctly, we didn’t load the bus until 3pm and everyone was pushy to get on. There were other terminals they picked up from as we left LAX. We were the last group of passengers on the ship. The muster check in stations were closed so we received the nasty “you didn’t show up for muster” letter which irked me since it was out of our control. Never again will I do transfer from the airport day of. I did not enjoy that day at all. Cruise turned out good though.

I don't even think she'll miss it if she doesn't know it's an option. This is a freebie cruise for her since Mom and I are paying for it. We are ok with the main dining room for our dinner meals. 🙂 Appreciate your input though.

What you have pointed out above is how I don't want her to feel on her very first cruise so I may just scratch my idea.

Thank you. My sister has so many food restrictions I'm now thinking we do this restaurant when she isn't with us. It may just be too much for a set menu.

I would love to try Le Petit Chef on our upcoming cruise. It's a girls trip (Mom and two daughters). My sister has never been on a cruise and we are taking her for her 50th to Alaska. However, she has dietary restrictions ~ gluten free, no garlic/onions, lactose free plus other restrictions. Has anyone done this specialty restaurant with dietary restrictions and if so, how did it go? It would be nice to do this on her birthday but I also don't want her to have any GI issues that could be avoided by sticking to the main dining room. I will be reaching out to the Special Needs department so they have her information on file.

I thought maybe behind the "black door" you see in some of the videos, that would be where the 360 venue is hiding. 🤷‍♀️

The Abbotsford Airport is a smaller airport about an hour's drive from DT Vancouver, on a good day and no snarled traffic. Vancouver Airport is much closer with less expensive options to get there. You can either take the Canada Line, Uber, Taxi, or cruiseline transfer. Your only option to get to Abbotsford would be using Uber. I would go with YVR.
