  1. One thing we have noticed with these casino offers if if your spouse has an offer with same code, they will get those perks.  We have had offers where my OBC or free play is higher so will book the cabin under my offer code, but if my spouse has the same offer code, they will get those perks.  Last cruise he also had drinks everywhere and casino play under his offer and I had the bigger OBC and drinks everywhere.  So always check if your cabin mate has same offer code, even if lower perks they will still apply.

  2. We just did this tour last week.  It was as explained above.  Really fun day.  There were only 8 of us but the tour guide said if only 2 they will still go.  He asked how we booked and we booked via Viator as we were looking on there for ideas.  He said they keep increasing their fee and asked to get the word out to book directly on their website.  When we got home this week I looked and could have save like $24 PP.  Fun day, great guide, very safe and a variety.  And lots of rum!

  3. Last week we did Mama Iguana excursion "Eat Drink and Be Merry" outside the cruiseline.  It was a blast. You have to pick up the van way outside the cruise port on the highway but not too bad of a walk of go slow.  We booked this via Viator, and the host asked us where we booked it.  He recommended getting word out to book directly on their website as Viator and TripAdvisor keep increasing their rates. When we got back this week I went to their website and it would have been about $25 cheaper per person.

  4. Jumping in on this to add my comments as we did this excursion last week with Sea Cow in Bonaire.  Highly recommend.  I did some research and due to an artificial hip saw the pictures of the boat and the 2 easy ladders to get in and out of the water were key.  The staff even put on your flippers as you sat on the top rung.  Great experience and also liked the fact the boat drifted along with you so you didn't have a hard swim against the current to get back on the boat.  The owners said they moved from the Netherlands a few years ago and bought the boat and started this and it's their dream come true.  They talked about offering a night snorkel that sounded so cool.  Flashlights and very different creatures they said.  Maybe someday will get there and do that night snorkel.

I will add however, we emailed them a few times asking if the excursion was local time since they are on AST.  They answered twice "we know you ship arrives at 9AM" so don't worry you have plenty of time. I even replied back and said ok 9AM local time or our time which was EST.  She again said don't worry. Well it's local time.  We ended up taking a cab to the marina but had to wait for a full van so were last ones there even though we got off the ship right away.  Just keep that in mind.  We did walk back.  It was hot and a little long but there were some shops along the way if you take the brick path along the water, not the main road so it broke it up a bit.

He is the best bartender ever!  Was at Alchemy when we were on Celebration last year.  After the first time he smacked the mint I said can I do that and rest of the cruise he let me smack it and we would get the whole bar chanting "smack it" "smack it"  He would just make you something he created and everything was magnificent. Good times.

Wow, those are awesome!  Do you by any chance know if they were using their phone or a DSLR with a zoom? Where you really that close or they just zoomed in?  Do you get wet on the tour at all? I want to take my DSLR to be able to zoom in and get some good pictures but don't want to risk it getting wet. Thanks in advance.

Sorry just saw this question.  They were using a pretty big camera with a telephoto lens.  Thought it was great they did all those and sent to us for free.  There was a canvas top on the boat. Looks like the one in some of the pictures others have sent.  We did not get wet except maybe a tiny bit if in the front and hit some splash when going out to another area.  We sat in the front however.  Also you asked about how long it takes to walk to places from where the water shuttle drops you off.  Whale Watch Cabo was all the way around the marina area and back on one of the main streets.  It was probably 1/2 hour walk.  But when we got there we waited maybe 1/2 hour even though maybe 10 min early.  There were 2 excursions I believe and we were only a group of 12 hours. That place really was all about conservation and gave a lot of great information on studies done.  Learned you can identify a whale by their tail.  They are like fingerprints and not one is the same.

Yea the food thing isn't something we would do with only 1 day there in port. However, depending on how this trip goes, I'm going to consider doing a land vacation there and I would definitely do it if that's the case. Thanks for the info.

I did save the Whale Watch Cabo link. What time of the year did you go and how many (and types) did you see?

We went in mid February.  We only saw humpbacks at that time.  They emailed us a bunch of photos after we got back for free.

I'm giving advice to my travel hero I have learned so much from?  Woo hoo.  We did this cruise back in 2022.  You guys don't seem like foodies, but this was one of my favorite excursions of all time.  Walked around with a guide and tried different out of the way tastes of PV with a great tour guide.  It was great.

We did whale watching in Cabo with Whale Watch Cabo. That was also fantastic

  9. Resurrecting this topic as we are going to Bonaire in February of 2024 with a non-ship excursion and I too looked into time change and Bonaire being on AST and Ship on EST they would be an hour ahead.  I even emailed the tour operator who merely said don't worry we are a laid back island.  But I don't think she understood my question.  I specifically said is excursion xyz local time?  I think we need to get off as soon as ship ports just to be sure.  I have read on other threads sometimes the ship will change clocks but it is up to the captain.  We did that with a west coast Mexican Riviera cruise

Sailing when you guys get back on Sunday, and very eager to know how the Haloween-themed stuff goes, particularly the Grog Walk tonight. Not really into Halloween, but normally love the Grog Walk. Need to know if I should still book it on Sunday. Sailing with some first-timers .

Us too on Sunday and we are first-timers. Thank goodness no blue cards.
