Glad we just decided to rent a car to get us to terminal and back to airport. Sound like an easier solution.

I know I am old fashioned but I cannot imagine letting my granddaughter, now at 15, staying out until 1am. I know parents want their kids to have a great time but when we cruise it is a family vacation and we expect family time. That means she has dinner with us most evenings but is free to meet up with other kids if she wants. Also, how late do they sleep in when they stay up that late. Just cannot imagine letting them stay up so late and then sleeping most of the day, if that is what they do. I just grew up in a different time, so don't give me your snide comments.

Read all of this page and cannot figure out how the Star Class question devolved to what kind of mattress on smaller ships and everything else not related to Star Class.

Unless you are not 18. Then even though you are Diamond you do not get one. Can't figure that out. You are still diamond and should be able to get one.

We always get the 100 photo package. We enjoy seeing the changes in everyone from cruise to cruise, especially my granddaughter. We have photos from 7 cruises and it is amazing to see all the differences. Usually the photos are the staged ones you can get in the evening, there are lots of different backdrops. It will also include any photos taken as you are leaving the ship and at CocoCay they have photographers taking photos. I always watch for a discount on the package and yes, we think it is worth it. Hope you enjoy your cruise.

We have only sailed suites so this is good news for us but isn't there still a Diamond Lounge. I know when we were on Liberty we would go to the Concierge Lounge and the Concierge spent all his time with the Pinns that were on the cruise. They had their little area roped off and noboby dared to cross the line. If you want to get into the "special" lounge then book a suite. With the huge number of D+ and Pinns they had to do something.

Thought about ordering the towel but for our Alaska cruise ordered the fleece blanket. They ended up giving back the purchase price because they said they were out. When we got to our suite our genie had one there for me, said she grabbed it from what they had on board. It is a great plush blanket so I would not hesitate to order the towel. I think it would be the thicker type. Maybe I will get one for our Allure sailing in April if they are still avilable.

I would stick with Royal. Have been on two Carnival, both of which had lots of kids and the kids were loue and rude. I understand the airfare as we live in NV and pay lots to fly to east coast but would rather pay the money for Royal.

Hence the reason for a good TA. I was in contact with our TA (although he was not yet ours) before our Alaska cruise to get all the information we needed on paperwork that had to be completed. If you haved a good TA they will help you get the correct information.

They do not get a photo. We have been on 3 different ships since going diamond and I think it is under 18 cannot get a photo. The 4 drinks (non-alcohlic of course) but not sure what else.

Just paid off our Allure cruise on April 2. Now we can begin to pay for Harmony in October. We do not wait until the last minute to pay. Yes, I know, Royal has the free use of our money because we paid early but we have peace of mind that we won't forget and lose the cruise. And our final payment was due Jan. 2. Lots going on in December so we got it done.

Not sure what this is all about. I think most adults can read and it says Suite Line. OP will take his friends in the suite line because he feels entitled to. If I were the friend I would feel out of place because I did not earn the suite line. And even though most posts said "no" he will do what he feels entitled to. We ran into this when Star Class first came out. People in whatever line it was would complain, and complain loudly, when our genie would get us to the front of the line. Our genie simply told them they could go to the front of the line if they paid the money to do so. And we have sailed with friends who did not have Star Class and we always met them somewhere on board at a specific time. We are all adults and I think we can find our way without having to infringe on being in a line we have not qualilfied for, or a lounge that we should not be in. Which makes me ask...will the OP start asking if he can take his non-suite friends into the suite lounge because he is entitled to because he is in a suite. Seriously, cannot we just follow the rules and not try to get something for family or friends that was not paid for.

We have never had to wait more than a minute. Just did 7 for Alaska in September and they were right there. None of the tests took more than 20 minutes, you have to wait 15 to see what the results are. Sorry you had so much trouble.

I would just let my TA figure out the best way to book the rooms. Too complicated for me.

I hope they are still out there. It is one of the bucket list things I still want to see. And yes, I still book excursions thru Royal because I also have a bad knee and I would not be running but limping.

We receive, included, the UDP with Star Class so can't comment on some ships MDR or Windjammer but on Liberty we purchased a 3 day dining package and would purchase the week next time. Can't say the food is that much better but the atmosphere and lack of jammed tables is worth the extra money for us. Just enjoy the lack of people in specialty restaurants.

Be sure to fill out the advance questionaire from Royal. At the bottom of all the funny and silly questions they ask if there is anything else you want to say and there you can let them know you have 3 rooms. I would give the room numbers and you should be ok.

We were just notified that Skagway has been dropped becuase of tendering being unsafe. Still can't believe people have cancelled their Quantum cuise. Stuff happens. We will enjoy even if we just stay onboard every day.

Just out of curosity why are so many people concerned where the bed placement is. Never really cared as long as it was on a ship.

Why do we always have to hear about getting covid after a cruise. Have people gotten covid after going to the grocery store, how about work. You will get covid, if you are going to get it, where ever you are or where ever you have visited. Cruise ships are no different. First we complain about having to wear masks, then testing before a cruise, then not everyone wearing a mask although it is not required. Covid is here to stay as is the cold or flu. Can we just move on. So tired of all this. If you don't want to take a chance then stay home. And no, I don't need a lot of judgemental people telling me what they think I need to do. We will be on Quantum Sept. 19 and if we feel sick when we get home I can say we will not test. Yea, I am one of those.

We are sailing Sept. 19 and have Bao as our genie. I have been looking for information on him and what kind of gifts he might like but have seen nothing. Can anyone who has had him give me any information? I said I had not heard but someone posted they gave him a Coach (I think it was Coach) briefcase for a gift but that is a little out of my price range. So looking for help. Thanks.

The French toast in Coastal Kitchen on both Anthem and Symphony was very good. Nice thick Brioche bread that tasted great. Hopefully on Quantum it will be good also.
