  1. We recently used Park and Go for parking. They have a short shuttle to the ship. We were VERY favorable impressed. We did have to leave the key as they were doing valet parking. It turned out to be a good thing. I left my ipod in the car and once I discovered it, I was on the ship and not sure to have time to go get it. I called Park and Go, told them exactly where it was. They got it and sent it to the ship to me on the next shuttle. I was a happy camper.

  2. Thanks for your help. You have a wealth of information in your signature. This will be our first NCL cruise and I did not even know about hull or covered vs uncovered cabins. Aren't the life boats actually below deck 8? If so, I guess you can still see them when looking directly down from deck 9.

  3. There is a second funicular in Bergen, a little farther away and much higher and much less crowded. It was spectacular. Got the info from Rick Steves. We took a public tour bus from the center of town. Bus ride was nice but not long. We took a lunch and had a picnic at the top on a gorgeous day.

  4. Thanks for posting. Once again I really enjoyed your enthusiasm. We will be staying 4 nights in a Holiday Inn Express near mid-level escalators that looks like a great location. I have done a lot of reading but you gave me a couple of new tidbits. We are really looking forward to visiting Hong Kong and Beijing. The Airport Express and Octopus card look very convenient. I am also thinking about getting the smart card in Beijing as we do plan to use the subway.

  5. Danish Viking:

Totally agree with the comments made by Dolfans. Could not have said it better. Really appreciate all your efforts in helping all of us to enjoy our visit to Copenhagen a whole lot more than we would without your input.

A big me too to you Danish Viking. I just booked an RCL cruise for next April that ends in your city. I bookmarked this thread to reread later. Already have decided to stay 2 or 3 nights. Looks like so much to see. Your answere are terrific.

  6. We visited Ostia back in the late 70s while traveling around in Europe. It was one of our favorite days and I believe they have uncovered a good bit more. We will return to Rome for 2 days this year and may decide it is worth a revisit. Probably if we go, we will do the train and metro.
