  1. GL = Go Local Tours WT = Wellness Tour Hope this helps. Dave
  2. docmark, while you can check for available suites on the Regent website, it can be a laborious and time-consuming process. Please contact me at the email address in my signature and I can help you out. Dave
  3. Sheila, I agree that 820 and 821 excellent Cat B’s. They are not available for docmark’s cruise. 722 and 723, which are in the same position as 820 and 821, are available and would be my recommendation. Note that most of the deck plans for deck seven show the elevators and stairs too far forward. They are in the same position as on deck eight. FWIW, I just upgraded to 722 on myJuly 2022 Splendor cruise so I’m putting my money where my mouth is. 😄 Dave
  4. True enough. But in light of the CDC’s poison pill framework and the closure of British Columbia to cruise ships, will Regent want to or be able to bring the Explorer halfway around the world to Alaska? Time will tell. Dave
  5. The Mariner has left Oranjestad and is sailing to Gibraltar. I wonder if most or all of the Alaskan cruises this year are toast. Dave
  6. dockmark, i’m sure others may disagree but, personally, I wouldn’t book 1210. It has a narrower balcony than most category D’s, is above either a WC or a supply storage room for the pool deck and possibly other areas and because I don’t care to be high up and forward. YMMV. DAVE
  7. docmark, here's a list of all the available Concierge Suites I see. Category E and D suites are the same except for location and balcony size. The amenities are the same. Category E - 963, 866, 868, 870, 871, 872, 718, 764, 766, 770, 772, 774,775, 776, 777, 778, 779, 608, 611, 612, 615, 617, 644, 647, 656, 658, 660, 661, 662, 663, 664, 667, 669. Category D - 1210, 1000, 1001, 1022, 1024, 1026, 1028, 1030, 1033, 956, 957, 958, 959, 960, 961, 822, 823, 824, 724, 725, 726, 729, 731, 750, 752, 754, 756, 758, 759. I like to be on a deck between two passenger decks and close t
  8. IMO, I don’t think 954 is in a good location. It is under the Chartreuse specialty restaurant which could mean noise problems. Is there a reason your TA is only giving you one available suite to choose at a time? If you will post which cruise you are considering, I’ll be happy to let you know which suites are available. Dave
  9. Here’s a post about Seven Seas Suite 802 on the Explorer that might be helpful to you. (https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2669169-explorer-seven-seas-suite/?tab=comments#comment-57639473) Dave
  10. Hopefully CNN removed the info because it was inaccurate. Dave
  11. Please post a link to the CNN story you referenced. I remember stories about the cruise lines not being fully back in operation on all ships until late 2021 but I haven't found what you reported above.
  12. There is a link to mark a forum as read on the iPhone. If you are holding the iPhone vertically, scroll down to the last thread listing on the first forum index page to find the link. If you rotate the iPhone 90°, the link will appear in the usual spot. Dave
  13. Anchorbuoy, The way I read the email you received from Regent, the statement “Cancellation penalties will remain at their current level until the new final payment date“ means that the situation has not changed since I canceled my December cruise last month. Since final payment dates have already been altered for cruises through March 2021, the email you received appears to be only relevant to April and May 2021 cruises with the exception of those April 2021 cruises that had already reached their normal final payment date prior to November 23. For cruises of greater tha
  14. On October 6, 2020, I canceled my December 7, 2020 cruise two or three days before the 60-day final payment date. The entire deposit was refunded minus the $100 per person administrative fee that can be applied to a future cruise. The normal cancellation penalties between 60 and 120 days were not applicable. Dave
  15. I've never had to get approval to bring in prescription drugs but here's a link to the Singapore Government page you need for the approval process. (https://www.hsa.gov.sg/personal-medication/apply-approval)
