  1. Here’s a picture of a Type M plug: IMG_1565.HEIC Dave
  2. During your Rome to Athens leg, Regent should be sending you and the other back to back passengers a list of available excursions in Athens. Select the excursion you wish and return the form to Destinations. The number of excursions available is dependent upon the number of back to back passengers. Some of the excursions offered may be included excursions and others may be extra charge excursions. Dave
  3. It's just a matter of semantics. Here's a private tour in Singapore from Viator that can have up to eight participants: Dave
  4. I don't know why Regent is showing "NA" under first class. However, they are selling first class tickets. If you do a dummy booking on the website, you'll see the first class price. Dave
  5. Are you on the RSSC Grandeur or the RCL Grandeur of the Seas? Your sailing date matches the RCL ship which you mention by name in your post but not the RSSC ship. Dave

  7. Yes. Near the end of your cruise, you will get a disembarkation questionnaire which includes an option to purchase airport transportation. Dave
  8. As Charlie Chaplin said: “It isn’t the ups and downs that make life difficult; it’s the jerks.” Dave
  9. My brother and sister-in-law are on the September 4 cruise. Regent booked them into the Fairmont Waterfront. Dave
  10. Rich, this is obviously secondhand information but I believe my brother told me that the Port Authority closed Seward to Regent for its arrival on the 11th, necessitating the move to Whittier. Dave
  11. The two port schedules I just checked show the Silver Muse in Seward on September 12. Is September 11 the date you arrive in Anchorage and stay overnight at the Captain Cook hotel? Dave
  12. My brother and sister-in-law are on the September 4 cruise. They booked with a Regent agent and when they got the email about the port change, they called the agent. He told my brother that the port authorities were the ones who decided to make the change at the last minute. According to the agent, the change was made for the opening of phase one of the new cruise terminal in Whittier. The Alaska Railroad Company (ARRC) owns the cruise terminal in Seward and I believe it has at least a partial ownership interest in the cruise terminal in Whittier. Apparently the port in Seward was closed on the 11th so that the Explorer would go to Whittier. It is certainly in AARC's interest that both cruise ports prosper. The Explorer was the only ship in Seward on the 11th and there were no cruise ships due in Whittier on that date. There are cruise terminal and docking projects ongoing in both Whittier and Seward. It appears that the project in Whittier is partially financed by NCLH while the project in Seward is partially financed by Royal Caribbean. Consequently, NCLH ships will have priority in Whittier and Royal Caribbean ships will have priority in Seward. I checked port schedules for 2025 and 2026. NCLH has switched to Whittier for NCL and Oceania ships. Holland America and Princess will continue to use Whittier. All Royal Caribbean line ships will use Seward. I speculate that Regent will switch to Whittier once phase 2 of the project has been completed. i'm happy that Regent is now doing the right thing for its passengers on the 11th. My experience has been that it usually does the right thing eventually although at times Regent needs to be dragged kicking and screaming to the correct position. If nothing else, Regent needs to read and comply with its own ticket contract before making decisions such as here. Dave
  13. Regent should provide transportation to Whittier. Section 4c of the Ticket Contract provides: "If the scheduled port of embarkation or final destination is changed. We will arrange transportation to the new port from the originally scheduled port." Dave
  14. It’s announced in the daily Passages that is placed in your suite each evening. There is a section of Passages that I believe is called Culinary Corner and there should be a notice of the brunch there. Dave
  15. Unfortunately once you've checked out online for an excursion, you have to call Regent to cancel it Dave

  18. We checked in on August 7 for our 14 night Vancouver to Vancouver cruise. It was a very smooth process and probably took about 15 minutes from arrival at the taxi drop off point until we boarded the ship. Dave
  19. Here's the menu for the upcoming Wine Lunch on the current Explorer Vancouver to Seward cruise: Join Head Sommelier Kadek for an exclusive opportunity.pdf Hopefully it tastes and drinks as good as it looks. 🤞 Dave

  21. The shore excursion tickets will have your name on them but names are never checked when you exchange them for bus tickets. So your nephews should have no problem using your tickets. YMMV but that has always been my experience. Dave
  22. I always compare prices between the two companies. Lately however I have found that Luggage Forward has tended to be more expensive than Luggage Free. Often, there is a $100-$150 per bag difference between the two companies. I can't speak for Luggage Forward but I have used AirTags without any problems when shipping with Luggage Free. Dave
  23. We just booked an August 2025 cruise from Stockholm to Hamburg that included a pre-cruise land program. We declined the land program and we were given a credit of $1000 per person. Dave
  24. You can book shore excursions 365 days before the cruise. Dave
