  1. You will get updated cruise documents with new tags, yes you can arrive when you want, and yes, you'll be billed the upgraded gratuities BUT I'm not sure if they simply offset it from the bid or not - I couldn't figure it out when we got the upgrade on our cruise last month but my updated docs showed I had paid the correct gratuities so no idea on that one! Congrats though, enjoy!!
  2. We had no problems eating at the beach club, they only brought the vegan starters (double portion, which wasn't needed since it's a lot of food) and a vegan burger with grilled veggies and the fries. The bun fell apart but it was all really good!
  3. Agreed, especially on ships that don't have CK and a JS doesn't give you suite lounge access. The cost even on those ships between balcony and JS is significant enough wifi wouldn't break the bank at all.
  4. It works, they also have a line for those with reservations - use it even if you're trying for an earlier/later time but have a reservation for an alternate time since they just pull you up and seat you then! We had no issue on Mariner doing this.
  5. As long as she brings B - the bridging document she could wait on the name change on her passport. BUT if she has the time and wants to make it smooth overall, she should also do A.
  6. I had every intention of doing the sail away meet and greet but we landed at Playmakers and met a great couple we were having fun chatting and getting to know. I always plan such activities loosely, because some days they work and some days they don't. I had been active in the group so was sorry not to meet people but it was one of our best cruises so no regrets! I was happy not to be recognized though, I am not that memorable I don't think but my husband still laughs about the time we were on a cruise many moons ago and started talking to a group near us at Quest and when they put 2 and 2 together they said "YOU'RE ShillyShally?" No idea what reputation I had to them but my husband isn't buying that story either lol!
  7. Yep, they had a few meet ups scheduled for our last cruise on the FB group. I thought I might even go, until relaxing and thinking about doing anything other was not of interest 🙂 But reports were those that went had a great time!
  8. Ha, like knowing an ex can get social security on your benefit if they qualify. Doesn't impact the benefit for the primary person but I've talked many off the ledge who were mad about it!
  9. You inspired me to check but no changes since last week for my cruise for Oct 24 - Key still $32.99, Voom $19.99, DBP $74.99... It's a 9 night with ports we know we'll be getting off at so we may not bite on DBP this year, definitely not at current B1G1half.
  10. Good to know. I’m fine with the off label I got on the Mariner since I had ordered it through gifts where it says brand may vary. But for our next cruise it specifically says Evian Water Package in the planner!
  11. I'm going to screen shot it too and will do the same. I'm hopefully optimistic Mariner was just running through current quantity but $19.99 for small bottles was a money maker for them!
  12. Agreed. I didn't push it since we had ready access to bottled water with our deluxe package I just didn't love the brand but was fine and drank a ton of it!
  13. HAHAHAHA, can totally relate - this was us last cruise, and now I'm suite (GS or higher) or bust!
  14. This is my hope for next fall - we have a suite gty but expect of course to land a JS, so hoping we can Royal Up to GS or higher since right now even picking our own cabin is $4k higher and a GS $7.5k higher, heck even the suite gty is $2.4k higher than when we booked!
  15. I purchased the 12 pack for our next cruise too in the planner instead of gifts to hopefully get Evian liter bottles instead of the smaller off-brand ones. I could manage to drink those 2 cases posted above, I drink a lot of water! On a cruise both with and without vodka added 🙂
  16. Are you sure it isn't 3860 that's part of a connecting set? Those are larger according to their deck code.
  17. Nope, we had a JS and royal-upped to a GS - got all the perks as if we booked it straight 🙂 Now are spoiled!
  18. Grand Suite only. But if you book a cabana on barefoot beach you can also get access regardless of cabin booked.
  19. It's worth bringing something in writing and notarized where he acknowledges and signs that he is aware of the travel. They may never ask but if they did it can get sticky quickly!
  20. On Mariner earlier this month they were the regular sized water bottles from bars and delivered to the room (16 oz I think).
  21. Thank you!! Appreciate you sharing - I expect I’ll have a similar view should we sail but many of the positives definitely sound appealing!
  22. I'd like to try Quantum class but haven't had one align right yet!
  23. Agree, it's why I prefer the Voyager and Freedom classes. I'll certainly sail the Oasis class or higher in the future but likely only if booking the whole family.
  24. 16 years 🙂 I sailed on one of her first few weeks in 2007 and 3 more times since. 5th time planned for next year and can't wait to see her again!
