  1. Was the canceled cruise 5 days or less? Had you only paid $250 toward the canceled cruise? This looks like a future cruise credit of $250 + a random $1 and $300 OBC from a canceled cruise offer.
  2. Yes I do. It doesn't matter how many towels I use or how much time I take. There will still be moisture left behind. Just because paper towels work for other people, it doesn't mean they work for me.
  3. I want them to stop putting onions and peppers in the majority of the items. There have been many things that looked good until I saw the onions and peppers. I find the texture of onions and peppers revolting.
  4. I like them. Paper towels don't completely dry my hands. That makes the spaces between my fingers sticky until it finishes drying. It takes longer, but the air dryers get my hands completely dry.
  5. Of all of the cities that are available to select when searching for August 2020, all cruises are gone from Baltimore, Barbados, Barcelona, Charleston, Jacksonville, Long Beach, Mobile, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco, San Juan, Sydney, Tampa, and Venice. Only Galveston, Miami, Port Canaveral, and Seattle show availability.
  6. Before I applied for my first passport in November 2015 for my cruise in February 2016, I requested a second copy of my birth certificate. Even though I would get it back, I didn't want to be without a birth certificate in the meantime. I expedited the birth certificate directly with the state. I only paid $20($15 for the certificate and $5 to expedite). I got the second certificate a week after I mailed the form. Now my original copy never leaves my home. I don't know if you would get it back in a week right now.
  7. I can see the 2/3/22 sailing out of Brisbane. It is a 3 day cruise to nowhere. I got all the way to the traveler information page before backing out.
  8. Does prorated mean not a full refund? I didn't use it, but I'm curious.
  9. I love them. It may take some time, but they get my hands completely dry. Multiple paper towels don't get my hands completely dry. A hand towel doesn't get my hands completely dry either.
  10. 1426, 1435, 6224, and 6227 on the Conquest are 1A upper/lower cabins without portholes.
  11. Cabins 1211 and 1212 on Conquest class are upper/lower portholes. They have a twin bed and an upper pullman. My source is that I was in 1212 on the Valor on the 12/30/19 sailing.
  12. Do you have a confirmation email from Carnival or AAA? Look at the terms of the rate. They would be at the bottom of the Carnival email. If it mentions the $50 per person penalty, then it is likely an Early Saver rate. I have(or had) a booking where the rate name didn't mention Early Saver but it still is/was an Early Saver rate. I called to confirm, but I had to explain it to the representative. She gave the wrong answer before I asked more questions.
  13. It works on cruises after that date. I applied it to my 1/10/21, 1/17/21, and 1/15/22 cruises.
  14. I was just in that cabin on the 12/30/19 sailing. It is a twin bed and an upper pullman. It does not have a sofa bed. It is a regular couch. I love the upper/lower portholes with upper pullmans instead of sofa beds. You can line everything up along one wall or put the bed along the wall and the couch perpendicular to the bed under the window to have alot of open floor space. There is a really good YouTube video of this cabin. It is about 6 minutes 51 seconds long. The video was uploaded 4/2/17. The couch has been fixed.
  15. Fantasy class ships start inside, but they usually lead you to your lifeboats after the inside portion. I would hate that. I like being in the back because I can lean against the wall. I can't do that in the front row. It's never hot for me because my cruises are usually December - February. I will only cruise from Los Angeles or Seattle in the summer, and I don't do that very often. Those two cities don't have the humidity of the Gulf homeports.
  16. My past two cruises were solo. I got stuck with late assigned dining on the Glory(12/1/19) since I booked on Black Friday. I got early assigned dining on the Valor(12/30/19). I was assigned to a two person table each time without asking. Both were the two chairs version. I dined solo at JiJi on the Sunshine(2/10/19). I was at a table in the back corner. I can't remember if the table was for two or four. My reservation was somewhere between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.
  17. I think they meant the year 2022. I have been in cabin 1206 on the Triumph/Sunrise twice. I was solo the first time. It is an upper/lower porthole cabin. It has a twin bed and an upper pullman that comes out of the ceiling. I had the twin bed under it. I had the couch along the same wall as the twin bed. That left alot of open floor space. I can sit on the window sill. I was with my mom the second time. My mom avoids having someone sleeping above her whenever possible, so I had the couch under the upper pullman and the twin bed sticking out. I don't get any kind of motion sick, so I love the gentle rocking. It's relaxing. When you get back on the ship from a port, you only have to go up one deck. The area is fairly quiet because no one is going near there unless they are in one of those cabins. I also get a stronger wifi signal from there as opposed to an aft cabin. Cabin 1211 and 1212 on the Valor are the same size with the same setup as 1206 on the Triumph/Sunrise. 1207, 1208, 2211, 2212, 2216, and 2217 on the Valor have a twin bed and sofa bed. 2211, 2212, 2216, and 2217 are directly under a crew area.
  18. They were and still are categorized as 4K.
  19. I am genuinely curious if anybody else got a really good deal yesterday.
  20. I was doing a price check on my 12/30/19 Valor cruise and saw the low price of the 12/1/19 Glory cruise.
  21. I booked the 12/1/19 cruise on the Glory at 7:42pm last night. I was checking the price on my 12/30/19 Valor cruise, and I saw the Glory sailing listed first for $199 per person. My reaction(out loud): What the hell? When I got to the cabin type page, an inside guarantee was $189 per person, and an oceanview was $199 per person. The rate was an exclusive VIFP rate(Past Guest). I went with oceanview. I was able to choose my cabin even though the rate summary didn't mention being able to do that. I don't know if the full rate terms mentioned it. I didn't think to look. I'm going solo. I got an aft oceanview(2445) on a 7 day cruise for $501.26 after taxes, fees, and port expenses. Since banks were closed by then, Capital One closed the only branch within walking distance, and the closest Capital One ATM is a 40 minute walk away, I had to take the bus to Walmart and make four separate transactions to get enough cash for this cruise. I had to wash a load of clothes late last night so I would have clothes for this cruise, I have to wash another load, take out the trash, and I'm not finished packing. I don't have to wash dishes(least favorite chore) because I paid my mom to wash them this morning when she picked up my rent check. She is going to drop it off at my leasing office for me on Monday. I am taking a Greyhound bus to New Orleans that leaves at 10:30am. I have to take city buses to get to the Greyhound station if I'm not willing to wait for 3 hours at the station after getting a ride from my mom. I have to leave my apartment at 8:00am. So I have to get everything done within 35-36 hours.
  22. It should work on the coffee free version of the Ghirardelli double chocolate specialty coffee. I may have the name wrong, but it was definitely made with Ghirardelli sauce. It worked on the Triumph in January 2018. I want to know if all of the ships have a milkshake punch card or if it is only the ships with Shake Spot.
  23. My mother was born in the 50s. Her official birth certificate is basically a folded unlined index card. If she got another copy now, it would be the usual 8.5x11 piece of paper.
  24. A suite doesn't get you the priority line at guest services or priority luggage delivery. Suites also aren't automatically ready upon boarding.
