  1. Venezia is Italian for Venice. On a somewhat related side note, Firenze is Italian for Florence.
  2. Wifi prices have gone up twice this year. The value plan went from $10.20 per day to now $14.45 per day. Using the discount would be more expensive than what many people already have.
  3. Is the lounge in New Orleans open to platinum/damond again or still just suites?
  4. That email address is legitimate. It is where all the emails other than cabin confirmation emails come from. All of the marketing, policy updates, excursion, and internet package emails I have received have been coming from that address since sometime in 2020. I don't know about pre-cruise food and beverages since my last purchase was in December 2017.
  5. By safe, I mean I have never had any damage using non-concentrated Dawn. My mom and I randomly found our last two batches(we shared) at Ollie's Bargain Outlet. This was a few years after every major store in Baton Rouge stopped carrying non-concentrated Dawn in any size.
  6. Now if only cabins other than captain's suites had a second toilet. In my case, deluxe oceanviews are pointless to book when an extra toilet is far more useful to me than a second shower or tub.
  7. Non-concentrated Dawn is safe on clothes. I don't known if they even make it anymore. I buy every bottle a store has if it is ever on the shelf. I don't know about shampoo or shower gel, but these work. They are currently $1.39 for a 3pk in the Bed Bath and Beyond travel toiletry section, $1.11 with one of their 20% off coupons. If the store allows you to group multiple items together to reach $15 to use the $5 off $15 coupon, each 3pk would be $0.94(11 sets). https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/tide-3-count-travel-liquid-detergent-sink-packets/1014376747?brandId=2397
  8. Yes they have, but it isn't guaranteed. It is usually excursions and the spa with a 10-20% discount. 20% is rare.
  9. I only play Skee-Ball. It is $1.50 per game or 4 games for $4.50. The arcade is a redemption arcade. The number of tickets needed for a prize is overpriced just like land-based redemption arcades. The minimum amount needed is 75 tickets. The next two levels are 150 tickets and 300 tickets. I don't remember after that. The plastic bubble containers that the small prizes come in are a pain in the a** to open. If you are getting a bunch of bubble containers, bring a bag. I had to use the front of the shirt I was wearing as a bag once because I forgot to bring a bag into the arcade. Thankfully my mom was sitting outside the arcade with a bag, so I didn't have to go far. Hopefully the Magic uses digital tickets instead of physical tickets. The physical ticket counting machines never count the tickets properly. It shorted me about 20 tickets on both the Freedom and the Radiance. The counting machines also can't count single pieces. Each piece is worth two tickets. On the Radiance, the strip in the Skee-Ball ticket dispenser ran out, but the dispenser didn't automatically start spitting out the next strip. This happened twice on the same day less than 20 minutes apart. I had to use the arcade ship phone to get a crew member to open the machine.
  10. You can use it on any sea day. If the ship doesn't offer a sea day brunch, it can be used in the dining room for breakfast or lunch any day the dining room is open for those meals. Only the gold drink is limited to the last day of the cruise.
  11. Is there an automatic gratuity or is it just $10?
  12. I believe boarding zone numbers are assigned based on the check in time you choose, not your loyalty status.
  13. Is that the cereal crusted French toast that used to be on the sea day brunch menu?
  14. My 5 day cruise on the Valor on the 11/29/21 sailing was mistakenly marked as a non-revenue cruise. I paid completely out of pocket. There was no FCC, casino offer, or OBC. I paid $668.86 after taxes and fees for a Lido balcony solo. I originally booked an oceanview. I switched to the Lido balcony when Carnival offered balcony cabins for the price of an oceanview. I went from a 6B oceanview to an 8D balcony. It was a public offer. I called my PVP, and she called whoever she needed to call to get me those 5 cruise and VIFP days. Those days show up in the total days listed above my past cruises, but that cruise is still listed as earning 0 days. All of my subsequent cruises show incorrect starting and ending days, but the total days are still correct.
  15. At 7:42pm CT on Friday 11/29/19, I booked a Sunday 12/1/19 7 day Key West/Bahamas cruise on the Glory out of New Orleans. I left for the first of two city buses to the Greyhound station in Baton Rouge at about 6:40am on Sunday to get on the 10:30am Greyhound bus. I got off the Greyhound bus at the Starbucks on Canal St. It got there early at about 12:15pm instead of 12:30pm. My check in time was 1:00pm - 1:30pm. I was onboard at about 1:15pm. I was checking the price of my 12/30/19 cruise on the Valor, expecting to see the Valor listed first in the search results. When I saw the Glory listed first for $199/person, my reaction was to say what the f out loud. I was able to choose my oceanview cabin, and it wasn't under the galley. There was clearly a very last minute cancelation. When I got to my cabin, there was paperwork with a married couple's names on it. I was solo. After all expenses, I paid under $1,000 for a 7 day solo cruise. Less than 30 minutes after booking, I got on a bus to the Walmart down the street to get cash. I was still doing cash accounts on my cruises at the time. I had to do four transactions to get enough cash since the registers are/were limited to $100 cash back per transaction. There weren't any of my bank's ATMs near my apartment. I wouldn't have had any time to go to a bank on Saturday because I needed to pack, wash dishes, take out the trash, and most importantly wash clothes. Day before travel preparations are an all day/night affair because I need frequent ADHD breaks.
  16. I would probably end up buying some candy, another chocolate shake, a bottle of Gatorade, and then use the rest in the arcade. I'm 33.
  17. I remember seeing, as I was flipping channels, a snippet of a recorded talk(excursion?) that I was at on the 8/29/22 sailing on the Radiance.
  18. There was an employee at the door when I was there. She didn't always ask to see your ticket.
  19. The lounge was open on 8/29/22. Just seating and a restroom, no snacks or drinks.
  20. If that is from last month, then they have mostly lowered the price from the port north to the downtown area. It used to be $8.00. This sign says $7.00 for several places along that route. They appear to have raised the price to $9.00 for two places in the formerly $8.00 zone.
  21. No they don't. I don't drink alcohol, coffee, or energy drinks. I don't get Cheers for that reason. I would never drink enough peach smoothies and chocolate shakes to make Cheers worth it.
  22. Before the pandemic, I remember both $1.95 and $2.95 being mentioned. I only remember one price being mentioned on 9/1/22.
  23. I think the server on the Radiance said $2.95 on 9/1/22.
