  1. The best price I found was using ParkWhiz, $175., for a garage at 58th St., for a week.
  2. Is the NY pier at about W 45th St.?
  3. How many days was that cruise? I'm new to Celebrity, but my experience on other lines is that the longer the cruise, the easier it is get specialty restaurant reservations.
  4. Our Asia cruise makes one stop in Shanghai and no other ports in China, expect for Hong Kong, which does not require a visa. A free 24 hour visa is not applicable as the ship is docking in Japan before and after Shanghai and this type of visa requires that you are coming from one country and traveling to a different country. Do I need a visa if I do a ship's tour for this one stop? If I do not disembark at all in Shanghai would I still need a visa? Thanks in advance your expertise.

  6. The Chase Sapphire does indeed provide good med evac. I use this card for travel. Read the fine print as you may have to charge the entire trip to get the coverage. Also, and this is why I can't use the Sappire card on my 4 B2B cruises, the travel must be completed in 60 days or less.
  7. The med evac would cover the cost to get us home, not back to the ship for the continuation of a cruise.
  8. I don't know the answer regarding the Coast Guard. But a medical evacuation from any port would be on your dime.
  9. I'm not selling anything, just passing along information.
  10. One of the greatest financial risks when traveling would be the requirement for a medical evacuation, especially when traveling abroad. Celebrity travel insurance does include medical evacuation but only up to $25,000. A series medical evacuation could require a sum far greater. Many independent travel insurers cover up to $100,000. You can also purchase a policy that covers only medical evacuation and use it in conjunction with Celebrity or independent insurance. That's what we'll do for our 4 back to back cruises in Asia. The cost for a one million dollar policy for 90 days is $400 for 2 people. The risk of ever needing a medical evacuation is tiny but the cost could be huge.
  11. When is the best time to book a dining package? I've read that there are deals to be had during a cruise. Is this true? Thanks in advance for your expertise.
  12. That's too bad about the OBC. We've cruised mostly on Oceania and the OBC carries over for back to back cruises. We're in the processing of booking 4 back to back in Asia, 2020. We'll have to be strategic in our use of OBC. We've only done one Celebrity cruise and it was many years ago. So, we'll be watching this board and asking you experts your opinions.
  13. Can you select one dining package that extends over back to back cruises? Thanks in advance for your expertise.
  14. Are there any inside rooms that are more than 170 sq. ft.? Thanks in advance for your help.
  15. I understand that there is rule on cc that does not allow the mention of specific travel agencies. Is there is a way to find out which agencies offer the best prices for HAL cruises? We're experienced cruisers so we really do not need help with the details. We are most interested in getting the best price/perks. Thanks in advance for your help.
