  1. Thanks again! The more I research suite perks on Princess, the more confused I am. I appreciate your help.
  2. Thank you for this information. Would the perks listed in this letter be the same for Enchanted Princess?
  3. We had a great time aboard Allure in a Crown Loft a couple weeks ago! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Harmony was also our first Oasis class. It was nice to have a pool in the solarium on Allure. Enjoy!
  4. The dinner package is for the up charge specialty resaurants. If you book a package prior to boarding, it would be less expensive than going to the resaurants individually without a package. The main dining room is included.
  5. I booked months ago for next Sunday and paid for covered parking. I noticed that it does not seem to be bookalble any more when I was checking for a future cruise. I am glad you confirmed this before I arrived on Sunday and started the cruise very irritated. I have a couple days to get over it. ETA: Well, I just checked again and it is possible to book covered at the North Lot. Maybe the site was funky when I checked a week or so again. Very strange.
  6. I got a deal (pretty sure it was Black Friday 2019) for $55 each. The sailing date was in May of 2020 ☹️. Oh well!!
  7. You never were an idiot. We just live and learn in this life. Give yourself some grace. I am glad it worked out.
  8. A previous post has me curious. Any recent experience with WiFi in a CLS on Allure? We will be sailing soon and wondering what to expect.
  9. I will let you know about my experience with the excursion. Feel free to remind me. You could add a post to the thread on the 16th. Hopefully, I can let you know while still on the ship.
  10. This is why I am a "nervous Nelly" and book RCCL excursions. This could happen on a RCCL excursion, of course. But they will know why I am late at least. Mom, my travel buddy, is a senior and I am getting close. It was easier to be brave with DH by my side. But since he is in a better place, I will do the best I can. @LeeWThank you for the information. I appreciate knowing what to expect.
  11. When are you cruising? Mom and I are doing the Exclusive drive in a couple weeks. We will be back on July 16 and I can tell you how it went.
  12. Untortunately, life has taught me that anything can happen, at any time, anywhere. But I also do not want to be afraid to live. I do bring my laptop and I keep it tucked away when not in use.
  13. I sail on Allure in two weeks. I thought they were doing all this just for me! Of course, I am kidding. I am a bit worried that different areas will not be accessible during our trip as they spruce up. Oh well, we will just make the best of it - and enjoy the new trees!🙂
  14. Cranes are moving trees from the dock to the ship today. I noticed this on the Galveston Marina WebCam.
  15. Oh, wow! Way off topic, but thanks for the memories! Many years ago, we lived in STX. We actually lived on the East End. We would drive across the island to Fredricksted for hair cuts, "real" fountain sodas, and night dives at the pier. Wendy's used to have a location there and it was the only place on the island where a fountain drink tasted like back home. You could walk down the pier and I remember looking up at a Royal ship and wished I was on it. Have a great trip brenderlou62!
  16. I found your post while researching after my TA declined to book my cruise. I have two questions and was hoping you would be willing to give me some advice. I am researching booking two state rooms in the MSC YC. When I am searching on the MSCUSA site, a pop-up appears asking if I would like a cruise concierge to call me. Is this how to access the same type of cruise concierge you are referencing? I am planning a trip for two college age kids, my mom, and myself. I rarely make changes once my plans are made. However, my mom may be more likely to require a change. Clearly, life happens and any of us could have a problem. Should an unfortunate event happen, would the cruise concierge have the ability to make a sailing date or name change? Thank you for any help!
  17. So true! I already tried it. We sailed to Alaska on Ovation of the Seas in a Grand Suite in June 2022. I found a July BARGAIN on Allure in a balcony for 8 days to the ABC Islands. Seriously, I couldn't have stayed at the Days Inn for 8 nights any cheaper. I am a teacher and have to sail when prices are high. So, I was over the moon. But after that suite experience,. . . It was fun and I really enjoyed Curacao. But it was not the same at all without the "suite" life. If we do go during spring break, it will be on the Seashore. So I am off to read your review of that ship! BTW You guys are moving to Alaska?? How exciting! It is sooo beautiful! Before the kids came along, my husband and I lived in St. Croix for a bit. It was an experience I'll never forget. I was glad to come home though, but it is a great story to tell! I hope you guys love it!!
  18. Oh my goodness, thank you for your review! The suite bug bit me last summer. This summer, I booked another suite and will be leaving soon. I have been thinking on and off about the MSC Yacht Club for a long time. In order to beat the post cruise blues, I have been researching a way to bring my kids along my next suite adventure but not have to sell the house to pay for my addiction.😉 I have been watching videos and pricing out some spring break cruises the past few days. Well, your review sealed the deal for me! After my son lets me know if he wants to come and I do a little more research about the cancelation policy/changing passenger names/changing dates, MSC Yacht Club it is! Your review was awesome! Thanks again!
  19. Not the OP but. . . I was trying to decide what kind of cruise to plan for the future. YC sounds great! Thanks for the informaiton!
  20. Thanks for the ideas. I posted a question on the MSC board. I also checked the MSC site. Nothing was listed between an early July short sailing and a mid July longer sailing. So, it might in fact be chartered. I also thought that it might have a short break for maintenance or something. It could just be sold out. Ours on Allure is just about sold out.
  21. I haven't been to Costa Maya in a long long time. We have a Chacchoben excursion booked. So, we will just jump right back on the ship as soon as it is over. I can't even imagine 4 ships there at the same time, much less 5. Oh well, I am just happy to be on a cruise.
