  1. The slides are gone replaced by two shaded hot tubs.

The kids splash zone has been replaced by Spice H2O although it's not finished as of today theyre still work g on it. Many toilets out of action. Many cabin TVs not work g. We waited hours for them to find the TV remotes.

Currently having problems as we where told by NCL in 2 emails that the kids area was not being removed. And it was.

No one on board seems to care trying to fob me off with a free meal when I have 3 disappointed kids.

    A big fail for NCL

  2. Well having now seen the work, which is very nice, it turns out NCL outright lied when I was repeatably assured the kids splash zone was not being removed. My you. Her two where very much looking forward to it and was o e of the reasons I chose the Star. Good job I saved the emails, should I make a complaint?

  3. the intel i received from my PCC indicated that tehy are ripping out the kids splash park and making it a SpiceH20. lebistro and lacucina are swapping places, and they are removing the juice bar from teh gym. then the usual carpet, room updates, etc.

NCL catagorically denied they where ripping out the kids splash park (I have kids) we are sailing on Star on the 24th. Going to call again and ask!

  4. Whatevers happening NCL are choosing not to tell their customers. Work like this is planned months or even years ahead, yet they claim not to know whats happening.

Would be nice if the OP could snap and post a couple of pictures?

    Thanks

  5. Just had a call back from NCL!

They claim to have not a clue about what work is scheduled for the Star!

So no one at NCL can confirm or deny anything other than it's going into dry dock!

To me it seems like there is some serious communication issues at NCL.

Work like this would have to be planned probably at least 18 months ahead of schedule. Designs approved materials ordered etc etc.

I will keep asking and see what happens.

  6. A little concerned that they plan to remove the kids splash zone as this was one of the reasons we chose this cruise as we have young ones who love splashing around in kids pools.

I have contacted NCL and they seem to not have a clue what is and is not going on during dry dock.

One email claimed the following, which looking at Spice H20 on other Ships I find a little difficult to believe!

    Thank you for your email.

Please be informed that as per the information we have about the enhancements on NCL Star the Juice Bar in the gym refurbished and re-branded to Spice H20. There is no mention about the Kids Pool being removed.

    Thanks and Regards,
