  1. Thanks for the info CDNPolar. Sigh.... we are in such a case.  Our flight is to depart Sept 18th for Denmark, where we are to board our Norwegian Fjords cruise on the 22nd.  At this point, the only thing we can do is wait to see if they cancel the flights, and then put through our cruise through on our credit card insurance under trip interruption/cancellation.  If AC starts winding down operations this weekend, we'll start cancelling our accommodations and excursions too.  Dang it all!  This is the second cruise this year that's gotten cancelled (first one was due to a medical issue for me).

  2.

Bit of an odd question, but important for us. We've booked the Euribia for a Scandinavian/fjords cruise this fall and really hoping to get a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Is there a way to get notified that they are active?  Don't want to sleep through them nor do I want to stay awake every night trying to see them.  Thanks.

Berries, especially blueberries, are super healthy and contain very little sugar.  I always request berries in the MDR with my breakfast and usually no problem getting them.  Occasionally, I get strawberries more often than blueberries and raspberries, but that’s fine.  You have to search the buffet for berries and not always successful.  Oatmeal or cottage cheese topped with berries, nuts, seeds and a little drizzle of honey……delicious breakfast!

Ahhhhh delicious!! You're talking my kind of food. 🤤

  4. I appreciate this question, thank you for posting!  As someone who struggles with digestive issues, indulging could lead to post cruise flare up and being uncomfortable (nothing to do with calories). If there's an option for a more organic option (vegetarian/vegan), I'll usually take it.  I'd love to know if there's particular restaurants, or dishes available, on board that might be available.

Yes, that is correct.  In order to have access to the pullman bed with a ladder (bed comes down from the ceiling), the the beds on the floor have to be in twin configuration.

Oh, shoot.  Are all balcony cabins the same?  I thought we might be able to put the ladder on the end of the pullman like below.  image.jpeg.4cb9cde9c6cacfcd5af13ccb9a941bb6.jpeg

  6. Hi....I have a very basic question.  I booked the Princess Ruby for a 10 day Panama Canal trip (YAY!) in an aft premium balcony, however it's not showing any other option for bed configuration than 2 twin's.  Is this just a case of waiting until we get there to request they put the beds together?  We will be using the pullman bed for our 10 year old kid traveling with us if that makes a difference.

    Thanks!

Good news, cruise tickets now in hand.  Now we just need a way to make the clock move quicker.  12 days and counting

Thank you for posting this.  I've just logged on and am having the same issue - will call the dreaded customer service line tomorrow.  Hopefully we can get this resolved as easily as you did.  😳

  8. Anyone NOT get their status matched? I'm bronze level with NCL and have applied twice on the MSC status match portal (first time on May 17th), emailed 3 times and have called customer service twice - the last time the agent emailed voyagers club on my behalf.  I've heard nothing. I check my junk mail frequently. Wondering if they are just not going to status match and just plain avoid dealing with the customer?  Feeling frustrated and don't want to start my vacation that way.

  9. Wondering if anyone that has MSC Meraviglia experience has recently been on and noticed any changes since the drydock last month.  Curious if it was just regular maintenance dry dock or if they made any other changes.

This fall?  She better be in Port Canaveral then!  We sail her in late October.  Looks like she is home ported there from October 13th through April 2023.  Unless you are talking about Palma on Sept 23rd.

She's in the Mediterranean this fall.  We are planning on sailing her out of Barcelona on Sept 3rd and ending our cruise a day early in Palma.  Hmmmm maybe I'll have to look at a Caribbean cruise over the winter if she's in FL.  🙂  Enjoy!

  11. Hello fellow cruisers!  We are working on our itinerary for the Meraviglia this fall and wondering how quickly you can disembark in Palma.  I don't believe this is a tender port (correct me if I'm wrong).  Want to book flights out of Palma airport early afternoon but thought it best to see what others had to say on the disembarkation process. Thanks!

  12. Posted this in the Italy forum by mistake 😳...

Looking to get an insiders perspective on traveling to Palma to embark on MSC cruise for Sept 2nd. We arrive in Barcelona the morning of the 1st and would love to spend the night there before heading to Palma. I've always read that flying in on day of departure is too risky. Would that be true with this short haul flight from Barcelona to Palma?  It doesn't look like the airport is far from the terminal..

    Thanks kindly for any input.

Apparently there’s no USB charger built into the trophy. Seriously at 1%. This may not post. And I just went to the room. Damnit.

Saw this picture and thought we were in for another late night walk-around of the ship! I was all YAY :D.....and your battery is dead. :loudcry:
