    Cool Cruiser
  1. We have stayed in an IV cabin twice. The first time the bed was by the balcony area, the second time the bed was by the bath. We liked the bed by the bath a lot better. We never closed the doors on either cruise. We liked the mid ship locations of both cabins and found the bathrooms spectacular. One was Aqua and the other Concierge. The Aqua shower faucet control is a little strange. Better on Concierge. The only negative is the hard sofa, but we still enjoyed it and would love to cruise in an IV again.
  2. Like many of you, we disliked the tables so close to each other. We love to talk to others, and prefer to start eating at the same time as the next table. This is unlikely in Blu. On Edge, the dining room Blu is very closed in. No view. No daylight or evening light. Better in other ships.
  3. Yes you can order from the main dining room menu on Edge. You can also have the hostess in Blu make reservations for you in any of the 4 other(main) dining rooms for the following evening. We eat at 8:30, so there was no problem with availability.
  4. The hostess in Blu will be happy to make a reservation for you in the main dining room.
  5. We did this as a pre-tour in August through Viking. It does include transfers to and from the airport, a good walking tour. Expensive, but we enjoyed it and met many others who would be on our cruise. Loved the location of the hotel, very close to the trams and subway. We bought the 48 hour pass. Be sure to get your Anne Frank museum tickets online in advance, if that interests you. 10 pm canal cruise was beautiful after an outside cafe dinner on the waterfront.
