Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I was unable to post a link to another site. Here is what I’ve seen.
  2. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/11/03/guide-royal-caribbeans-single-and-studio-staterooms Here is a list
  3. Actually the Radiance OTS is sailing 9 nights to Key West, CocoCay, Freeport, Nassau, and Bimini later this month (I’ve had it booked nearly a year 🙂 ) and in March too.
  4. I sailed on Adventure OTS a month apart this past spring. First cruise was on the lower level. The second cruise was on the second level and I preferred the second level. Interestingly the cabins we were in were only four rooms apart. So it doesn’t seem like room assignment and table assignment are based together.
  5. We are on Radiance OTS next month on a 9 night Key West/Coco Cay/3 other Bahamas itinerary. It’s sailing the same once in March. I’m excited that they will be doing more and a larger ship in 2024. Though I like the smaller ships.
  6. We were on the adventure OTS out of Galveston in February (5night) and April (4night). Only the 5 night had lobster.
  7. Yep. I’ve been double charged, but the items are still in the cart.
  8. Sailed 5 nights in March and 4 nights in April out of Galveston on Adventure OTS. Had lobster on the 5 night but not the 4. I asked our server and he said there wasn’t a lobster night on 4 night sailing.
  9. We got moved on our Wonder Merrytime cruise from our selected ocean view on 2 because that area I picked was saved for quarantine. I did not like where they moved us (in relation to our adult kids) - so I upgraded to a balcony. I probably would have kept it, but my MIL was backing out of the trip, so I was already adjusting the reservation.
  10. Animation Magic (available on 7-night and longer sailings on the Disney Magic) Try your hand at drawing your very own character—and then watch in wonder as your creation becomes part of the show, dancing alongside some classic Disney characters. You won't believe your eyes! I have seen a couple post COVID YouTube videos that seem to show this happening on 5-night sailings. But the website indicates 7 or longer. Anyone have recent experiences on the magic?
  11. I’m sorry you had a sub-par experience on Adventure. I sailed on her 5 nights on March and then again 4 nights in April. We were very pleased with the MDR, especially on the April cruise. The wait staff was superb. I do think they were close to taking a break and going back to see their families in India. We were pleased with the size of the ship and the ease to get around. I think I actually prefer her to Liberty’s layout.
  12. The two 5 day I’ve been on were pretty laid back. Not a crazy party.
  13. So interesting how frequently older ships need painting and care. I sailed on Adventure in March and April about a month apart. Both Junior Suites on deck 9 starboard. Maybe 8 rooms apart. The first balcony had a few minor rust spots. The balcony in our room a few weeks later was freshly painted.
  14. I’m with you on this. I’ve sailed Royal twice this year. The safety drill was super easy online - but they definitely also did the emergency signal live too.
