Exactly like this only flowers instead of polka dots

Oh wow, that is super cute and now I want one! I always cringe a little bit at the strapless ones that seem to require the wearer to tug up repeatedly but this is very different and nice. I would totally wear that to dinner.

  2. Well darn! I wonder if I call them they'll 'downgrade' my offer? I'm not taking one of the 10 7-night sailings offered due to lack of vacation time. More options on a 4-day sailing (especially out of Mobile) would be perfect! Think I'll do some research on this next week. I still think it's odd that I got the offer to begin with when I haven't sailed with them in 3 years, and only hit above 7500 points once or twice in those old sailings. Weird.

Check your Carnival vifp account online, you can usually see all of your available offers there and both types of premiers.

  3. Ship departs at 5pm with last call at 4pm. https://www.ncl.com/faq%2523boarding-times

Pretty sure we can get 25 miles to Port Carnival from the airport in 4 hours.

Unless you are using a different airport, MCO to Port Canaveral is 45 miles. It is also Saturday in the tail end of spring break, MCO will be insane. You seem to have it all figured out though so good luck to you.

  4. Thanks all!

Clarification for Julie. I have a roaming package thats good for the Islands so as long as I am NOT on Cellular at Sea, I will be fine. Just kept hearing about people sitting on deck using phones !!

Ah ok yep, it shows up on the top left and I typically get a text message as well. What you can also do to be sure you don’t accidentally end up on Cellular at Sea is when you get to the ship, go into your iPhone settings under “Carrier” and turn off “automatic” you will then be able to manually select the cellular carrier that you want to use.

  5. I am not sure what exactly you are asking. Are you talking about turning off cellular service and connecting to a Wi-Fi network? We do that both on the ship and in port and use Wi-Fi calling on our iPhones. You can also call using the cellular network but what charges you get will depend upon the cellular provider you have, what plan you have, and which cellular provider you are connecting to in order to place the calls.

  6. Crisis averted. Thank you for your replies. I did not understand the booking procedures correctly. The agency confirms that the cruise has been booked on all inclusive basis which include the UBP x2. I however was under the mistaken impression that the term all inclusive meant gratuities were included and the UBP would be listed separately.

    Thank you for your help.

So glad they were able to clear it up for you. I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

  7. Good to know! For health reasons I have to be careful about what I eat. So planned on taking my protein bars/trail mix. But it's nice to know that I can try taking some meats/cheeses in a baggie. Thanks! Just hope I don't get attacked by any dogs!

Depending upon the country, most do not allow meat/dairy products to be brought ashore. It is generally any plant or animal products that re banned. Whether you CAN get away with it is different that what you are legally allowed to bring.

  8. When in airplane mode, it won’t connect to anything other then Wi-Fi. I suspect one of two things, first when you got off the ship it is possible to connect to the ship when you came out of airplane mode, second, someone in your group connected while at sea and doesn’t want to fess up.

Either way, it’s not HAL’s fault. Just pay and consider it an expensive lesson.

    Yes, exactly this.

  9. I have not seen a travel insurance policy like that and it is difficult for United States based travel insurance companies to offer primary medical coverage. The problem is that some employer health insurance policies and some Medigap policies do cover international care and they process claims as primary. If you have two insurance policies and they both process claims as primary, then the claims are likely to generate taxable income to the policy holder. For example, if you have $1,000 in medical expenses and each of the policies pays 80% or $800, then the total insurance benefit is $1,600 and the policy holder has $600 of taxable income but the cost of having an accountant deal with it may be well over $600!

I live in the US and purchase travel insurance with medical primary all the time. If you submit claims as you mentioned it isn’t taxable

Income it is fraud. You are supposed to submit your claim to the primary insurance payer first, if both will pay primary you submit to the one you want to use, in my case, I choose the travel insurance. Once that coverage is determined if as in your example the travel insurance primary pays 80% (I have not seen this, coverage has always been 100% from my travel insurance due to the large coverage limit) you can submit the remaining 20% to your alternate insurance option. You don’t submit the full claim to both insurance carriers.

  10. Unfortunately I will be the one least utilizing the drink package in that manner haha. I am going to talk to someone once on board. We are not in YC and have too many pieces of luggage to do self what ever it is called. But we booked a suite ( not grand) with fantastica hopefully we can explain we have an early flight and get a low number to get off the ship early enough. I'll also keep an eye on the Delta site and see if a later flight drops in price .

You might consider packing a LOT less stuff. The chances of you making that 10 am MIA flight without doing walk off AND having to check bags at MIA is going to be really challenging.

  11. It would appear that a person/persons unknown have been taking our photos from either this site or facebook groups and passing them off as their own on cruise deck plans.com, luckily I spotted it and informed the owner Steve as this is the second time this has happened.

Should this happen again our photos will be removed and any others posted will be watermarked.

Wow that is sleazy. Glad you were able to get it corrected.
